It went terribly wrong. I hired Pena Lawn Services in June of 2007. I let him "take care" of my landscaping for a period of four months. In June my lawn looked beautiful. A year and a half ago I spent $4000 USD on a new sod (St. Augustine) and I have been taking care of it myself very meticulously. In June I had to leave the US for a month so I had no choice but to hire a lawn care company. Because of my busy work schedule I have decided to keep Pena Lawn Services. Big mistake! The grass was cut unevenly and too short every single time. I became concerned and talked to Mr. Pena about it. He said that wet soil was the reason. I called him about it again and got the same explanation. I came home from work on Oct 3rd and I couldn't believe my eyes. There were wide black tracks and a few very visible bold spots made by the mower's wheels all over my lawn. He blamed it on the weather. There are weeds growing everywhere because my lawn was weakened so much. I wish I fired him much earlier.
