He began working on the third bathroom, when suddenly he stated he'd forgotten he had a 4:00 appointment and had to run; he'd be back at 9:00 AM the next morning. I checked all the bathrooms he'd worked in and found wallpaper remnants in the toilet, trash cans nearly full with wallpaper, the floors with removal material [including on our wood floor adjoining one of the bathrooms, and his radio still on. Not to mention, the quality of work in my opinion was poor. It will require significant effort to get it to paint-ready state.
I called and left him a message that he could come and pick-up his stuff, I would pay him, and he would be doing no more work for
me. He apologized, said again how he'd forgotten about his appointment, and that he was going to do the clean-up when he came back to finish his work [because I was in the house alone and didn't think anyone would be using the bathrooms]; I told him.....'don't you think you should have least asked me??'
A bad experience; he made no monetary offer to reduce his bill.
"In my defense the walls where not prepped when paper was installed which makes wallpaper removal difficult and impossible not to damage walls during removal, i feel that i was not allowed to complete the job in the time frame that I said it would take. I always go though the job when all the removal is done and clean everything, I should of communicated this to my client more clearly, iI felt bad that we parted the way we did charges where exactly what I had told my client and would of been completed to complete satistoco complete satisfaction given the opportunity to finish"
