About us
Cheryl L. Malick, DMD, and her family, have been Naples residents since 1985, and she has been proudly serving our community at her state-of-the-art office, Dental Excellence, on North Airport Rd since 2003. Alumnus of Barron Collier High School and the University of Florida, she achieved undergraduate honors in a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Sciences with a minor in Biomedical Engineering. Thereafter, she graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry with Research Honors. Dr. Malick is passionate about her profession and committed to ongoing continuing education. This ensures Dental Excellence offers patients state-of-the-art dental materials, techniques, and technologies, including the newest addition the Cadent Itero digital impression system. Dr. Malick also has an interest in forensic odontology and has been certified by the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) as a member of the FBI's National Dental Image Review Panel. This panel aides the FBI in the dental coding of missing and unidentified persons' cases to ideally bring closure to previously unsolved cases. Dr. Malick is also a member of the Florida Emergency Mortuary Operations Response System. This state organization is deployed after catastrophic events (such as hurricanes, floods, earthquakes) to aide in the identification of the victims. She is a member of: Florida Dental Association, American Dental Association, Collier County Dental Association, FEMORS (Florida Emergency Mortuary Response System), FBI National Dental Image Review Panel, International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics, American Society of Forensic Odontology, Tau Beta Pi, national engineering honor society and LVI dentist. At first she is a very good dentist. But I had to go to an oral surgeon for some work and I talked to her about the oral surgeon. I told her that it was incompetent and that it should not leave her office. When I went for a follow up at the oral surgeon she had emailed him all of my comments. It strained the relationship with the oral surgeon and myself. Because of that she broke my confidence and because of that I will not go back to her. It was nice to find out that when I went for the initial consult because you mentioned Angie's List, but then I feel her prices are kind of high. I feel that is how she makes up for that consult. When I went to have my teeth cleaned it was $135. Then on top of that she charged, I think it was, $60 or $90 for her consult just to look at my teeth and talk to me. I was kind of taken aback by that because whenever I have been to other dentists and I have had my teeth cleaned, there is not an extra charge when the dentist comes and looks at my teeth. I believe she is a good dentist but she is way too expensive for me and she could be the best dentist in the world but because she broke my confidence I thought that was very unprofessional. But she did that and I just did not appreciate that at all. There were some things that she should not have said. I did not her and her reviews and she always counteracts her reviews if she gets a bad one. I though the pricing was too high. She could have been a little more professional by respecting my confidentially. She fired one of her workers and another one quit. She has a very small office and the people in the office were alright, they were not anything great. I had already gone to her once and the prices increased since the first call.
I should have reviewed Dr. Malick a long time ago. I've always felt she was more advanced and yet personable, than anyone else I'd been to over the years and in the several cities where I've lived. I probably would not have been as familiar with her services and staff as I am now though, after depending on her for over a year. Her staff is friendly and professional. They never miss a call back and seem to go above and beyond at every opportunity. My routine appointments for cleaning and follow-up are met with the same professionalism and consideration as those where I've had some pretty decent issues. And I have had some pretty decent issues. The most recent required surgery by another doctor. He and Dr. Malick have consulted throughout and with her expertise were able to come up with a resolution that resulted in the least amount of pain and expense, while allowing me to maintain my dignity and sense of humor. Dr. Malick and her staff truly listen and respond with compassion, so I feel I can speak freely when I think I have a problem. I recommend Dr. Malick without hesitation or reservation.
Many many x-rays and extras at each visit $$$$$. new implants not at all as expected after costing thousands of dollars and over a year in appointments

Here at Dental Excellence, we have proudly been serving the Naples community for the past 11 years. We welcome the opportunity to address a recent concern posted on Angie’s List. Dental Excellence prides itself on our customer-centric approach to dentistry. Our fees are consistent with other local offices that offer the same quality, education, experience, and technology. Moreover, we never treat a patient until all treatment options, costs, procedures, and timelines have been explained, and a treatment plan has been accepted by the patient. At Dental Excellence, Dr. Malick restores implants, however, we do not place implants and therefore can not control the timelines, outcomes, or costs of surgical procedures and implant procedures that are performed in the oral surgeon's office. Each patient heals on an individual timeline. In general, implants and bone grafts can only be restored after they have healed, often for a period of several months and sometimes, depending on the specific situation the healing phase can take in excess of a year depending on the surgical outcome and possible surgical complications. We welcome new patients with complimentary consultations and look forward to continuing to humbly serve the Naples community for years to come."
On my last visit during my exam I mentioned that I thought I might be hitting a crown while sleeping. Dr Malick adjusted the occlusion of the crown. Mention a concern and it will be addressed.
I highly recommend Dr Malick and her professional staff.
Something else! Dr. Malick has a "no waiting" policy. Patients enter the consulting room right away, speak with the assistant briefly, and Dr. Malick comes in to work on the patient shortly thereafter. Amazing, and most appreciated!
Costs were comparable to other local dentists. The service was superior.
