Damage to Septic Drainage field. They blamed it on their own third party contractor and told me to take it up with them. Nice. Faux Inspection: I was told there would be a legitimate inspection by a private third party. In fact, the “inspection” amounted to one of their employees sending a few photographs and a very short video call. It was not a true inspection by any standard. It was a joke. Ridge Shingles: Attached pictures of the ridge shingles. I'll let them speak for themself. Kelly Roofing’s Response: "Well, it passed inspection." (See previous item.) (Every roofer that has looked at it says it needs to be fixed.) Kelly has looked at it and done nothing. Blocked Circulation: After it had passed their private party “inspection”, another roofer informed me that insulation was covering up virtually all of the soffits! This is a VERY big deal. Improper circulation can lead to mold, premature failure of the roof, and void out the manufacturer's warranty. I expressed major concerns about circulation given the materials they recommended even before any work had begun, and they assured those materials would be fine because there would be plenty of circulation. See attached photos of the roof that were taken during the roof installation. You can see the plywood they removed (far more than initially estimated by the way). Whether they moved the insulation in the process of replacing the plywood or not, the insulation is clearly blocking all airflow from the soffits. I even personally expressed concerns to the project supervisor about blocked circulation through the soffits at this point and he assured me it would be taken care of. It wasn't. When insulation is preventing circulation in the roof, a reasonable, professional, and appropriate course of action from a roofing company would be to pause the project, inform the homeowner, and discuss solutions for unblocking the soffits before proceeding. Kelly Roofing’s Response, when I confronted them about this: insulation work isn’t “in the contract” and it was “not within the scope of their work.” Really? Is that what you expect from a reputable roofing company?

Given that these represent an enhancement, it's not uncommon for other contractors to have limited familiarity with them. It's worth noting that with the installation of these thicker shingles, immediate flatness on the [Member Information Removed] may not always be achieved. This is due to the fact that it can take between four to six weeks for the sun's heat to adequately warm the asphalt..."

BEWARE OF KELLY ROOFING! Although their quoting process and work in process appear very thorough, it may not be. We recently contracted with Kelly Roofing to repair damaged tiles on our roof and the subsequent damages (so we thought). Communication was great at the start and during the repairs. We were very impressed and intended to use them on our new build in Marco Island. We paid them in full the day the work was completed and then discovered that wood rot on the fascia was missed. This was an obvious result from the roof tile leaks and one of the main reasons for having this work done. Contacted Austin Kelly right away to ‘finish the job’. He apologised for missing this repair of the leaking dead valley on the original estimate, however he needed to quote this work additional in order to come back. We did not feel this was fair or good business practice. Austin Kelly comes back with a ‘boiler plate’ type quote for an additional $1,500 on top of the $3,669 we paid. Originally, we had this work quoted by a local competitor - their price (including the fascia /leaking dead valley) was less than Kelly, but their lead time wasn’t as good so we went with Kelly. All total, Kelly Roofing was $2k more than the reputable competitor. I get that they can charge whatever they want, but missing very obvious work needed as part of the job we called them to do, and then gouging us on the price to add it is unprofessional and poor business. Also contacted Jen, a project administrator to help. She intended to speak with Austin’s supervisor and have someone contact us. Never heard back! ADDED: We had a competitive quote from a well known, reputable competitor on the island who included the wood rot on the fascia as any professional would do. Their price was $400 less than Kelly’s amount that excluded this work. The expense for Austin missing this repair should, at a minimum, been split with us perhaps; not 100% fall on us. Again, charge whatever you want, but this never should have been missed and the quote to add it is excessive. Not good business or customer service. If we would have known the COMPLETE price up front, we would not have gone with Kelly. Own up to your mistake that you mis-quoted the job! And shouldn’t pass that onto the customer.

Work was done with care and skill - the first time - no call backs. Review by a 3rd party engineering company indicated longer expected life than we initially expected!!

We hired Kelly Roofing to put on a 70K plus roof. We didn’t know that we needed to specify that we would like it not to leak. Within fifteen months of paying the last bill, the roof has leaked three times. The last time it leaked was eight days after Kelly “fixed” it. Clearly, they had no idea how to fix it and always tried to blame it on a drain in our roof. Well, the drain was there when they gave us the estimate, did the work, and cashed our 70K check. They never said that it was an issue, or warned the roof we were paying you to installing would leak, or to update our home owners insurance because we were actually getting a water feature in our office. Kelly Roofing refused to take my call or return my calls (the owner Ken Kelly). After the third leak, they refused to answer any emails. Is this a company you would be happy with hiring? We certainly were not - biggest mistake of our homeownership.

Discovering we had a potential roof leak as water was pouring from the Over Hang/Soffit vents, we called for an onsite visit with 3 local SW Florida roofing contractors. Kelly Roofing was by far the most professional and competent in response and following up to schedule their initial on-site visit. After a complete and detailed review of the specific problem, as well as, a total review of the entire roof tiles, vents and inspection of the attic area, provide a detailed review using a computer assisted program to outline a Scope of Work, a detailed Project Proposal and statement of Work Guarantee. The Proposal provided options for the initial project of repairs plus suggested repairs for other potential longer-term problems and options for improvements for heating and cooling benefits associated with both upgrades for roof vents and enhanced insulation to our attic area. The Project Manager-Chris Klimaszewski-did not try to sell or over sell what I was facing with the initial problem that he was called to investigate. He explained the basic three options that he discovered after review of the property. The initial leak was a result of the membrane under the tile valley) deteriorating and causing water to leak into the attic and exiting through the overhang and then soffit vents. The second option was to repair the remaining three tile valleys which, although not yet leaking, were badly worn. The third option was to suggest installation five (5) of attic/roof vents, upgrade the existing plumbing vents, and add additional attic insulation (from an R-12 to R-36) to bring greater efficiency to potential savings for A/C & Heating energy costs. When confronted with the range of costs to complete either Option 1/2/3, Chris was able to structure the suggested Proposal options with a series of time phased financing to give me the ability to get work done now (fix the leak), as well consider the other (sooner or later) problems that would require repairs, plus the potential for cost and energy savings over the longer term. We decided to do it right-fix and improve – the near-term problem and invest for the longer-term cost savings and improvements to our property. Kelly Roofing scheduled and completed the work from the initial visit to job completed in approximately three (3) weeks and reviewed and tracked progress with repeated email updates and progress pictures of their work. Upon completion of the job, they held an on-site review and evaluation/question session with me and sign off (with their Project Supervisor- Kelvin Mejia) before submitting an invoice for the total project. They did not require any Down Payment or Progress Payments. The payment in full (which I accepted their finance option) was not required until the job was completed and accepted by me. I highly recommend and would hire Kelly Roofing for my next roofing repair or upgrade.

We hired Kelly Roofing to fully replace our roof and custom fascia. The shingle part of the roof was done professionally and on time. The problems began when they got to the fascia. We chose a terracotta-colored covering from their sales catalog, which was installed in two steps, an upper row and a lower row. They installed the upper row first, then found that they had ordered lower row aluminum that was not a color match. The workmen pointed this out, and Kelly stopped the work; we then waited about 6 weeks until a color match was found. The work was finally completed in late May. On August 10, a large piece of the fascia simply dropped off during the night (it was not windy or raining that night in Fort Myers). I went outside to examine the damage and merely touched the large piece of fascia (about 5 feet long) hanging from the roof – it fell off the roof entirely – it was clear it had not been fastened to the structure in any way. I called Kelly and encountered more trouble. It was several weeks before a person came out to examine the roof. After that, I would call my “project administrator” and would get excuses for not contacting me, and excuses for not making it right. The “manufacturer” was blamed but I was assured that the “mistakes on the manufacturer's part regarding the fascia cover” were being all fixed. On October 1, a crew came to replace the fascia cover – they installed the wrong color! After asking to talk with a customer service manager at least 7 times, I was finally put through to someone named Alisha and was assured a manager will be evaluating the situation. They correctly matched the piece and put it up a week later. UPDATE: I was assured by someone named Ivan (who is one of the owners of the company) that the rest of the fascia that was installed was secure and that the issue would not occur again. Today (Dec 3rd) another large piece of fascia fell down (again, no wind/rain in Ft. Myers). It does not appear that this component was correctly and securely installed on the entire roof. I am at a point now that I feel I will have to get an inspector to evaluate this situation and find a solution, as if there is a large storm or hurricane, I am afraid these large unattached aluminum pieces will fly off the fascia and cause harm. I am a busy professional and find it very difficult to devote weeks more work to get Kelly to respond properly. Do not consider Kelly Roofing, particularly if you have a complex or custom project – if you have a very simple project, they may suffice. It is also very difficult to get a resolution when something does go wrong – not a responsive company, sadly, no dedication to solving problems timely and completely.

1. In the sales process we were told a certain short time frame for the roof to be repaired. When we signed the contract the time frame was 4x as long. 2. After IRMA we asked them to check the roof. After their inspection they said there were no leaks. In fact, there were leaks in the roof which damaged three rooms, resulting in extensive water and mold damage, causing us to evacuate the house twice. 3. They tried to get out of repairing a broken light which happened during tile removals, as well as explain away dented and damaged vents upon completion. We had a raise a fuss over both. Sad. 4. We have a flat part of our roof that was damaged by IRMA. Kelly repaired it. Months later, just when we were fixing the damaged room below this area, water leaked from this flat roof again into the room being repaired. We received no explanation from Kelly, except a legal response...which is they are not legally responsible, so file a claim with your home insurance policy. No accountability. The walls in the room under repair had to be opened up to find the leak and now work has had to stop until the insurance adjustor arrives.

Everything was great from the beginning. Their communication was above and beyond what I expected. They called to keep me informed every step of the way and to see if I had any concerns. Their quote for my reroof was a lot lower than the first contractor I selected and I felt very comfortable with Kelly Roofing. They finished the job a week before they promised since they were able to do it earlier and everything they gave me in regards to their timeline was exactly as they promised. I would definitely recommend them!

received several quotes from different vendors and had a representative / estimator from the Insurance company look at a leak over the garage. All unable to find the problem, one vendor charged $300.00 to tarp the wrong area. Kelly Roofing had a different suggestion, why don't we look in the ATTIC to be sure. Problem was identified and a temporary fix was done on the spot in about 45 minutes. No more leak...Kelly Roofing is now working with the Insurance Company to resolve a larger issue. 100% professional in every aspect of the Business.... Would highly recommend.

They came when they said and finished promptly. My husband could see, from the ground, several tiles that were missing so they said they would come back to fix them so we paid them. Later my husband went on the roof and there are still multiple broken tiles and cracks everywhere, we keep contacting them but they wont come back!!

I contracted with Kelly Roofing 3 times and got ripped off every time. My realtor referred me to them when we first moved to FL. In that case, I felt their prices were high but I relied on the referral since I was new to the area. I next contacted them after Hurricane Irma. After understandable delays, I finally was given an appointment for an assessment of the damage. I was charged for the estimate and they did not apply the fee towards the work. The assessor then came out at a different day/time when I was not home and I was not able to ask any questions. He emailed an estimate but I got no response to repeated emails/phone calls regarding my questions. Again, I felt the price was high, but I finally signed off on the job because it had to be done. When the crew came out, they didn't do a fraction of the work that was described in the estimate because they said it wasn't necessary. However, Kelly did not alter the price until I relentlessly called to argue that I shouldn't be charged for work that was not done. They eventually agreed to cut the charges in half! Several months later when I went to sell the house, the buyer's inspector discovered two areas were leaking from damage due to Irma that Kelly's inspector had failed to detect. I then had to call them out AGAIN. In this case, they came quickly and finished the job in a timely manner, but their price for 1 1/2 days of work was ridiculously high. When weeks went by and I had not received the bill that I needed as proof to the buyer that the work had been completed, I called them. I left a number of messages explaining the urgency of the situation but received absolutely no response. Finally, my selling agent was able to get through to them, but it still took weeks to receive the paperwork that they had LOST! I experienced extreme stress because the sale of my home was in jeopardy due to their incompetence! They made no allowances for their poor customer service and ultimately charged me the full amount. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and money by calling a different company!!

As with everyone I discovered the leak after IRMA. Had to contact thru internet which I don't care for (I like to actually talk to someone). Once they got my info it took until February to come out and March to complete job. This sounds like I am saying something bad but in fact I was quite pleased they actually got me on the schedule and could complete the work

Outstanding Service ... Seriously?? What a COMPLETE Backasswards Ran Company Kelly Roofing!! First, I had waited 4 mos for someone to come out just to quote my roof. BUT they would have come out sooner IF I had paid for an Emergency service at $285. I find this Ridiculous and unsure IF they can even do it legally. They OBVIOUSLY were capitalizing on Irma victims IF you DIDNT PAY THEY REFUSED to schedule you in BUT OBVIOUSLY would MAKE TIME IF PAID!! I was NOT going to pay them so I waited, 4 mos. Justin came out to evaluate my roof the FIRST thing he asked was WHY Wasn't my ENTIRE ROOF TARPED. Well that was my insurance Company screw up the 1st time and I had now been waiting another 2 mos for them to return to finish tarping, after 4 mos and 20+ calls I quit the BS. I finally gave up so I decided to hire Kelly Roofing a day later after a convo w my insurance and their 3rd party rep. The miscommunication within Kelly Roofing is a joke. I was TOLD they would be out the following day that did not occur either. The Crew arrived early 11am with NO phone call telling me they were coming early or at my home. One guy was smoking in my driveway in front of me close enough for me to smell the smoke, I had to tell him to put it out. He didn't speak English so the other guy translated. However, the BEST part they arrived UNPREPARED w NO tarps To TARP MY ENTIRE ROOF not 1 tarp. It's 11am WHY dont they have a truck w boxes of tarps for the unexpected ?? Their work order was a joke I'm told ALL their work order are NOT DETAILED leaving them to GUESS WHAT EACH JOB IS TO ENTAIL. The crews do NOT get detailed notes as the office has and are ONLY told they are doing "Emergency Roof Repairs" This is why they SHOULD have BOXES of Tarps for the ENTIRE DAY bc 2 tarps may turn into 5, 5 into 8. Instead they had ZERO at 11am in the morning!! How is this company operating?? They told me "they were expecting to patch a small hole from within the attic with TAR!!" HOW could this possibly be when Justin KNEW the ENTIRE ROOF needed to be tarped, Stephania, Gabby, Project Mgr Some guy who called me I SPECIFICALLY told him MYSELF ...ALL KNEW the ENTIRE ROOF needed to be TARPED. Why is this so difficult?? ALL I got were excuses!! Your crew arrived UNPREPARED, showed back up at 2pm 1st thing said " you want the ENTIRE ROOF TARPED?" Yes, I want the ENTIRE ROOF TARPED WHY is this so difficult!! Can't you see the condition of the roof? After the remove an EXISTING tarp to relocate it I get a call from Richard telling me the guys sent him pics and "Both he and They Dont see any reason to Tarp my entire roof." Are you kidding me?? I asked if he was Justin, had he spoke to Justin, Was his guys authorized to Examine my roof, had he examine my roof. Answer to all of those was " NO" I'm so livid at this point due to the cluster screwup I told him "You get your guys off my roof immediately and have the owner of the company call me NOW" I walked outside told them to get off my roof and they left. Thankfully I had taken pics prior and after. I cannot believe they use 2.5" screws in a roof its UNCALLED FOR!! I AGAIN called spoke to Stephania and Gabby BOTH who had Nothing but excuses. "We are NOT a harping company, we are a roofing company" Then WHY are you Tarping roofs and CHARGING $599 + $1psf?? (Emergency Roof Tarping I was TOLD it was $285 Back 4 mos ago to Tarp a roof) IF your NOT tarping roofs "Oh well the guys go and get materials for each job" HOW can they possibly do that when they have NO CLUE WHAT THE JOBS ENTAIL?? PLEASE Don't insult me. I've talked to 8 different people now, some multiple times and EVERY SINGLE ONE KNEW the ENTIRE ROOF NEEDED TO BE TARPED. I didnt mince my words, I was speaking CLEAR English!! I'm told by Gabby they are "sending me out an Invoice and will Have a lien on my home til paid" are you serious?? For WHAT the DAMAGE THEY DID TO MY HOME?? IF I receive an Invoice You WILL Hear from an Attorney. Your Crew DID NO WORK !! They were REFUSING to Tarp my roof from the beginning. AmeriCorpsNCCC within 1 Week Volunteers called came out and Tarped my ENTIRE ROOF for FREE over the past 3 days and they did a GREAT JOB ..... Screw you Kelly Roofing !! How you THINK you are a TOP ROOFING COMPANY is a JOKE !! Stephania, Gabby, Project Mgrs ALL need to be FIRED!! Justin .... Please go find another company to work for .... Due to the extensive damage from Hurricane Irma they had originally told us they wouldn’t be able to make repairs until March so we were pleasantly surprised when they called on the 3rd of January to say they’d be here the next day to make the repairs. The work was done efficiently and without any surprises. The gentleman that made the inspection in November was kind enough to make a video for us so we could see the damage. The price was very reasonable. The quality of the work was first rate. We’ve used Kelly Roofing before and find them to be a very reputable company. All of the staff from billing to technicians to management are very pleasant and helpful. Our neighbors have been scammed by out of town roofers. We highly recommend Kelly Roofing.
