As I said, their estimates were not as good as I had hoped and their ability to complete the work was questionable at times. We asked them to move a light switch, for instance, and they gave us a lot of push back about how it was going to be hard for them to do. I know, I have relocated a lot of light switches and you have to go thru a lot of exterior walls and all the rest of it to do it, but it can be done. I got the impression that we were not giving them enough work, and that it wasn't a big enough job for them to really pay attention to. If I had to do it again, I'd probably find somebody else to do those things for me.
I asked them to do a couple of things and they did it. I only had to ask them to come back two times basically, and they wandered around trying to figure out how to do it. They showed up whenever they were supposed to. I would probably look elsewhere before using them again.
The Jackson family is responsible for my air conditioner celebrating its 25th birthday. They call to let me know they're on the way and their techs don't whistle when they work on my equipment. Joe Dahl
The work was done on time. The technician was friendly but not overly so, well-spoken, polite and best of all he left no mess!
Thanks Jax Total. I've used you before. I'll surely use you again. Top notch outfit.

"I would like to take this opportunity to respond to the review written in July about Jackson Total Service, Inc. by [removoed member name]. I personally handled [removed meember name] account throughout the entire process, starting in 2005, not 2006 as she has misstated iin her review. In fact, most of what Joanne has written is inaccurate, embellished and/or outright slander. I feel she has been coaxed into this by unscrupulous third parties who are positioning themselves to take advantage of her to the tune of $60,00, as she has stated. The Jackson family has served Southwest Florida for over 50 years, has always satisfied their customers and have a spotless reputation for their work, pricing and honoring commitments. I am highly put off by this libelous review. I feel it is being conjured up by a couple of contractors using fear tactics to enroll the help of an unknowing prior client of ours. The company's first contact with [removed member name] was is November 2005 and continued until April 2010. Jackson Total Service has had no contact or has done any work for her in 4 1/2 years. I have researched the entire customer file of signed contracts and invoices concerning Joanne's account. In 2006 we installed (2) Lennox air conditioning systems (a 5 ton and a 3 Ton), along with (2) compatible filter systems and (2) accompanying dehumidifier units. Jackson Total Service did not repair or replace any ductwork at that time, nor was she charged for such work. We finished this project by cleaning the existing duct systems in her home in order that the new equipment would run at an optimal level. Jackson Total Service is a company that prides itself on helping people to live a more comfortable and enjoyable lifestyle. Sincerely, Donna Thompson Senior Customer Service Representative"
Mike Ringo was great. He even came out after 6 pm on a Friday to check the system and do an estimate, rather than put it off until Monday. He explained everything to me in detail, laid out all my options, and even explained some potential problems with installations that no other company had mentioned. His crew was here first thing Monday morning. They were professional and very courteous. The job took less time than I thought it would, and the new system was operational before 3 pm.
Because of the energy incentives from FPL and my loyalty discount for having a service agreement with them, I was able to get a 16 SEER system for only a few dollars more than the 13 SEER system would have cost.
Overall, this was a pain-free operation, or at least as pain-free as spending $5000 can be, but the upgraded system should pay off in energy savings as well.
