Impeccable Rugs

I have a one-of-a-kind, artisan-created rug, 3’x4’. I also have a puppy. The combination is not good. The dog pulled out yarn threads several feet long and basically unraveled part of the rug. The wife was not happy. I looked around for a rug repair person and called several places, but everyone had gone home for the evening, so I hung up, intending to make all the calls the following business day. But one company, Impeccable Rugs, called me back, even though I hadn’t left a message. Carlos Ortiz, the owner, and I spoke for 15 minutes or so and I sent him photos of the rug and the damage. He looked everything over and invited me to visit the shop the next day so he and his rug repair specialist could examine the rug. After a thorough analysis, we discussed all the issues and agreed to a price. I told him there was no hurry and to take the time required. I expected 6-8 weeks, considering that it all had to be rewoven by hand, each loop put back into place, the exact same distance as the rest of the ten thousand or so other loops. He called a few days later, saying it was finished. They had worked on it non-stop in order to clear the schedule for a couple of large jobs coming in. I never expected it that quickly. The work was perfect and beautiful. Every stich back where it belonged, every color correct (they fixed a second area where the yarn was pulled out and missing, so they had to match the colors). They also cleaned the rug and the colors are vibrant. And, on top of that, Carlos cut a rug pad for me to use under the rug, to ensure that there is air circulating under the rug (we are in Florida) and ensure that the rug can’t stretch out of shape, sliding on the floor. I am more than happy. The work is professional, the price was fair and Carlos is a very easy person to work with. Not only will I bring him any future repairs, I will also use Impeccable Rugs to do all my rug cleaning in the future. Thank you, Carlos. Job well done.
