Very unprofessional behavior.

After traveling from out of state to go over pricing that was originally quoted by emails & phone calls, we finally agreed to a higher price for the job. Got the job underway, monitoring by photos sent via email, flew down to see progress as it was taking longer than the original stated time frame. Found a problem that got blamed on us  though it was discussed in the first face to face meeting, but we didn't pick up different wording in the contract-OUR bad! After arguing & then giving in & agreeing to change order to get what we wanted, job started up again. A new completion date was agreed to. Flew down again to see the finished job, only not done!!! G/C looking for more money. Another argument! Emails back & forth to try & move the job along, agreed to ANOTHER flight down to see completed job & pay final money. Shower door not even ordered!!!! G/C looking for more money. Threatens to take us,to court if we don't pay. We pay some & he agrees to wait to install door until we come down for season though he's not happy. Six months later job is finally done. We later find out there is a lien by the city on our property because the G/C wouldn't pay the final permit fees!!! To top it all off  a material that was used seems to be not what we picked out. Not blaming the G/C as there must have been a mislabeling on the box, but we should have been called when the installer informed them that it didn't look like what we wanted.  Not good to do a job long distance!. Wish we could have back charged the G/C for the money we paid to fly back & forth. We used Anchor Building Corp for our 2nd bathroom, what a different experience!! We were so gun shy from our just completed project & Gary made our new renovation go like a dream.  I now know how bad Hibiscus really was.
