Ken and his crew remodeled one bathroom, removed wallpaper and painted in our other two bathrooms, and repaired ceilings in all the other rooms in the home, including the lanai (which is stucco). We wanted old ceiling speakers each about a foot in diameter removed - 2 in each of 6 rooms and two on the lanai. They did that and repaired all the holes with drywall and matched the flat putty ceilings. Mario did the ceiling repairs to perfection with no sanding (dust) - he is just that good with a trowel, making repairs perfectly flat that they needed no sanding other than a moist sponge. And even the stucco repair was so perfectly matched you can not spot those two repairs. Even Ken was proud of the stucco repair that Mario did. Mario and his co-worker Jose did most of the work with repairs, wallpaper removal, and painting. They draped all the furniture with plastic each day and put brown paper all over the floors where they worked and each day cleaned up carefully. Just wonderful workers who were so courteous and protective of our home we can not say enough good about them. If you need drywall repair or painting you will not do better. Ken Dorian came by every day (sometimes more than once) to make sure all was going well and brought supplies as needed for his workers. The head of his crew was Nick who was also great to work with. Nick is something of a jack of all trades and did lots of various work, but especially in the bathrooms and in rewiring a ceiling fan on the lanai, but he also supervised everything between trips to stores. We had the one bathroom gutted, removing wallpaper and all old shower and floor tile, and had the shower redone - new tile, new glass doors. They installed a new vanity top and faucet fixture, and new light fixture, new towel bars, and such. Almost everything but the toilet itself was replaced. They added a tiled in the alcove in the shower wall and moved the control to the shower to the sidewall (near the shower entrance) instead of below the showerhead. New tile in the shower floor to ceiling and new tile on the floor and it looks fabulous. While I do not remember the names of the tile man or the plumber, they both did their jobs with care. The plumber for instance added steel plates over each spot in the metal studs where the water lines ran through to prevent someone drilling or putting in a screw there once the cement board covered the studs. Ken predicted two weeks and they finished it right as predicted in two weeks. The two speaker holes in all six of the main rooms (3 bedrooms) and the lanai - 14 large holes - ended up hard to even detect where they were. Just beautiful. And having wallpaper gone in all three bathrooms is a delight. They also did some minor remodeling in the second bathroom before painting it - new vanity top, new fixtures, new light fixture over it, and new medicine cabinet, and there again Nick, Mario, and Jose did great. Nancy and I highly recommend Dorian construction. The protection with plastic drapes and floor paper together with virtually no sanding dust (other than in the bathrooms where doors could be closed) was amazing. His crew were so friendly and cared and took the time to protect each day when they arrived and to clean up each day when leaving. Very impressive. Ken, by the way, is very proud of his crew and said so before we even started and in the end, it is clear he has every reason to be proud.
