Dominion Contracting Group - Kitchen & Bathroom Re

Everyone we dealt with at Dominion were professional and the finished product is beautiful.  The cost was in line with other contractors.  We were hoping to be done earlier, but did not express any real urgency with a completion date so it would be harsh to blame them.  If you do have a completion date that you need to meet, I would build that into the contract.

And after many requests to clarify and many promised return calls failed to do what they said.

The contractor, Butch Bacon, was very professional and pleasant to work with.  Calls were always returned promptly.  His workers did a good job and did a few extra touches to make the job look nice.  We were very satisfied with the outcome and would definitely use him again in the future.

Butch and his team did a very good job on construction.  We are very pleased with the finished product and the length of time it took to achieve that product.  My only complaint is that the project came in way over the 25-30K budget we'd started with.  Many of the overruns were due to our upgrading of things, but the largest portion (over $7000) was due to permitting requirements that upped the ante, so to speak.  I understand that those requirements are set by the county, but had we had that information in the beginning of the process, we might have gone a completely different way with the project.  If it weren't for coming in so far over budget, I'd rate Dominion an A.

The contractor is Butch Bacon. He and his crew (especially Marco, Govanni and Carlos) did a fabulous job in all respects. Butch and his guys kept me in the loop on what was next and what it would entail. Butch is very meticulous and his men are likewise. If the crew spotted something they didn't quite like about what they had done (painting, flooring etc) they would re-do it. If they thought it was good to go and I was satisfied but Butch wasn't he would have them re-do it anyway. I am a very detail-oriented person so their attention to detail was especially noticeable to me. HOWEVER, I EMPHASIZE THAT ANY CORRECTIONS WERE RARE EXCEPTIONS AND MINOR BECAUSE EVERYONE WORKED VERY METHODICALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY.

I also greatly appreciated the fact that Butch and his guys not only kept me in the loop but made some very good suggestions for stuff I hadn't thought of and that I then usually had them incorporate into the finished product.

Butch's crew was not only very competent, creative and professional but they made it a point evry day to put tools and supplies away and to clean up the work area. In addition, although I spent a lot of prep time on my own selecting paint, cabinets and flooring, Butch's advice and connections with electricians, plumbers, flooring vendors and so on gave me more options and saved me money.
In short, the finished product was excellent, the entire crew was a pleasure to work with, the price was reasonable and they finished ahead of schedule. I am pleased to share my experience with Dominion Contracting Group and recommend Butch Bacon without hesitation.
