Coit Cleaning and Restoration Services

I don't have any basis to compare them with, its the only upholstery cleaning company that I have ever done. They have a great reputation, so that's why I called them. I have an important piece to me. I thought the guy was not as comprehensive, and perhaps, I don't know quite how to say it, not that he wasn't neat, because I watched him do everything, and I found he did not do everything in detailed as I would have liked, but the piece came out adequately well.

Wood flooring had an area that needed to have the sheen reapplied. That was done but did not come out as well as the rest of the floor. Tile washing left residue. Grout did not clean up well.

The employee called to confirm the appointment but was gruff and somewhat unprofessional.
He arrived, did not introduce himself, shake hands or mention the name of the company.
I asked how he would clean the rug and he replied, and quot;The same way we always do.and quot; He then and quot;measuredand quot; the rug by and quot;stepping it off with his feetand quot;....he was incorrect on his measurements...the rug clearly had the size on the label (which we showed him). The label also had clear cleaning instructions, which he stated was and quot;not necessaryand quot;.
He was clearly annoyed at our questions and did not provide a good impression. I then gave the business to his competitor.

The silk was another matter, it seems silk is more difficult for them to clean -- for they left some spots and in spite of coming back again to re-treat the silk chair covering, they could not get all of the spots cleaned off the chair. I did not fault them because other cleaning companies have said they could not even try to clean silk chair covering. I have learned not to cover furniture with silk, no matter how good the chair may look when new.

My experience with Coit Drapery Carpet and Uphlstry was perfect. They came in took up the rugs and returned them a week later all cleaned. My experience with them was perfect.

Overall, the experience was good. They were incredibly professional and personable. There was some damage done on one area of an oriental carpets, and they were able to repair it so I don't even know damage was even done there.
