Wilson General Contractors

In March (2015), the County of Currituck, NC notified me that a ranch home I inherited from my father was in poor repair and in danger of being condemned. I'd met with 5-6 contractors over the past few years trying to find the right person to help me manage the repair and possible renovation. Since I live 70 miles away, I needed to find someone I could work with well and trust.
Jeff Wilson was knowledgeable, professional and an excellent communicator. When I had to meet with the chief inspector, Jeff even offered to go along. He assessed the damage, met with his subcontractors and gave me an estimate. When I had questions Jeff answered them clearly--he always called back and showed up when he said he would. Although the damage extended beyond the area we expected, and the cost rose above the original estimate, it was not a surprise. We had discussed the issues as the work was being done. The repair looked great.
After that phase went well, I invested in new windows and siding. Jeff kept the work moving--not easy in the mid-county location, halfway between the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Some service people don't want to drive the extra 45 minutes to an hour to reach that location. Built around 1950, the ranch had had work done on it by several different owners, so parts were mismatched. Wilson and his crews handled the irregularities well, often going the extra mile to make the job right. I'm very pleased with the final result. I just wish I'd run into Wilson General Contractors three years ago.
