The windows came with a 30-year limited warranty, but there was an unlimited warranty on the hardware, to include the balance bars. When I contacted them, they gave me a name and number to call to have the work done. He said he would have to order the parts and that it would be $50.00. I told him they were under warranty and he said he was only a sub-contractor. I contacted Simplex and was told that no labor costs are included with the warranty. I couldn't believe it, so I asked the sub-contractor to contact Simplex and have them order the part, so at least I don't have to pay for that, too. He told me it may be a long time before they get it in, as they wait for several needs before placing an order. I also reported this company to the BBB. All warranties should include labor, especially when it's only just over 3 years after installation. The window that broke is in my spare bedroom and is rarely used.

A 4-person team arrived right when I was told they would and did all 9 windows in one day! To top it off, Tom gave me a 6% discount for referring a friend who booked an install with them, too. I love the new windows!! They make a huge difference on my house and I am very happy with them. I do feel the need to say that their receptionist could use some training in people skills but Tom and the install team were excellent.

Update:
The friend I referred was also happy with their work. He was even more impressed when he discovered that one of the windows had cracked during install (this was on a rental property). He called the office and someone was out within 48 hours to repair the work.

On my install, I noticed that the interior caulking on some of my windows had shrunk enough to cause a gap. I was traveling so did not get around to calling the company until a month after the install. They offered to come out the same day, which didn't work for me, but we were able to address the matter the same week.

It's a fact of life that things can go wrong or problems can develop. It would have been easy to fix the caulking problem myself or pay my handyman to do it but I wanted to give Simplex the opportunity to make it right and they did with no hesitation. That, to me, is a good company. The friend who hired them to replace windows on one of his properties is planning to hire Simplex for another property.

THEY WEREN'T ALWAYS PUNCTUAL, BUT WHEN THEY GOT HERE THEY DID A GOOD JOB. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN, BUT IT TOOK A LITTLE LONGER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE TAKEN.

I AM PLEASED WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY WORKED LONG HOURS TO GET THE JOB DONE. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE WAY IT TURNED OUT. THE WINDOWS ALSO SURVIVED THE HURRICANES LAST YEAR, BUT THERE WAS MINOR LEAKAGE AFTERWARDS. I CALLED THE COMPANY AND THEY CAME OUT AND FIXED THE PROBLEM.
