I wanted a company that was honest, reliable & reasonable... & I can honestly say I got all three! The receptionist managed to work around our schedule, & Tyler, who fixed our issues was just awesome! He was professional in every sense of the word. He made sure to explain everything he was doing & why... which was reassuring. I didn’t think hiring a plumber would make my day, but I can honestly say it was a great experience from start to finish!

Business called me right away. Quoted $225 with existing working shutoff valve, which I verified in advance. I scheduled the appointment for the following week. 11 am to 1 pm time. Did not hear from them at 12:15 pm so I called. Was delayed by previous appointment and arrived about 1:45. Tyler was tech. Right after he walked in door, he said the $225 would be $150 more if the flange were broken, which he would not know until the old toilet was removed. He also said "So you want me to replace a Gerber toilet with a Kohler?" implying I had made a bad choice. I explained that the existing toilet was not comfort height and was too low for my 6' 2" size. After removing, he said the flange was not broken but lower than spec. Since the flange was an offset style to correct a builder error, correcting the flange would be over $400. Only other option was to use double wax seal and accept no warranty if the seal leaked. Since the old toilet had not leaked at seal for 8 years, it seemed unnecessary to rip out any plumbing. I would have expected him to use a toilet flange extension, which is a $6 part used to correct a low flange. The invoice reads "offset flange was low, used 2 wax rings per customer request to save money". No warranty. So I guess I got a professional installation with no warranty if it fails. After waiting the recommended day to allow the grouting to cure, I flushed the toilet and the fill valve did not stop. The tank lid interfered with the valve except if you carefully shifted it into one corner, and then would not stop when you flushed it again. Turns out the fill valve was incorrectly oriented toward the corner by the factory and the tank lid was hitting it. So after consulting Kohler support, I had to fix the valve anyway. The tech never looked at the directions and apparently did not see the problem or masked it by careful placement of the tank lid. Before you have them come out, ask about any non standard conditions and potential up-charges. I was originally going to do the job myself but figured I would use a local contractor and have a workmanship warranty when I was done. Other than bolting the tank to the base, no work was warranted. At least they took a credit card.

Contacted their offices in Mt. Dora and scheduled me for same day service. The technician, Danny, arrived as scheduled . He preform diagnostics and cleaning and told me he could repair my 13 year 50 gallon natural gas water heater for about a third of the cost of a new one. I elected to go with a new water heater because of the heater's age. I didn't want something else breaking down with it in 6 months to or a year. He installed the new heater and I had hot water again. They offered a six year parts and labor warranty for $100.00 more, so I thought that was a pretty good deal and got that also. They followed up the next day to ensure that I was satisfied with the water heater and service.

We could not be happier. The last plumbers we called came out quickly and then charged us a hefty "emergency fee," on top of the labor and materials. Needless to say, we will not be using them again, especially since finding Blue Sky.

It went well. Danny, our plumber, came to our home to talk with us about the problems we were having with the two toilets. We were experiencing difficulty with flushing the toilets (we often had to plunge them) and the tank mechanisms were not functioning well in a consistent way. We had replaced the tank mechanisms about a year earlier but we continued to have problems with them. Danny recommended that we get rid of the original toilets that were installed when the house was built and install a higher quality toilet. We elected to do that.

Several years ago my water heater blew up and he was one of the several referrals that my home insurance referred to and I went with him.   I am so glad that I went with him as he is a wonderful find.  His name is Danny and I would not call another plumber.  I have used him at least 3 times.

I have used the company for years. Richard the owner does great work. I have been a realtor for 19 years and he came highly recommend to me by another realtor.
