JT's Countertops

JT was recommended by a man that had done excellent work for me putting in cabinets. He told me that JT had all the tools for sizing the countertops, for making small adjustments if needed, and that some countertop places don't have these tools for installation. I could not find JT's phone number anywhere. He is not in the phone book, doesn't advertise and doesn't have a website. So I got his number from the cabinet man. We arranged a time for him to come measure and he was right on time. When I first met JT, I wasn't sure if he would do a very good job or not but I decided the cabinet man should know if he was good or not since he had worked with him. JT told me it would be about one to two weeks for the countertops to come in. It took a little longer, about three weeks, due to the countertop maker. When the countertops were ready, I was out of town and JT had no problem waiting for me to get back in town. We scheduled for 9 AM on a Monday and he and his co-worker, Tom, came over right on time. Once they went to work, I could tell JT could do countertops in his sleep. He knew exactly what he was doing and wasted no time working. The two men worked well together and were very synchronized. They made sure everything fit perfectly and never scratched or harmed anything. JT does the best caulking I have ever seen, and, without hesitation, even caulked extra areas that I asked to have done that are usually not caulked. He even used my foaming filler can and filled in cracks and holes that was not part of the deal, either. He and Tom were very congenial and answered all my questions. I was told ahead of time that I would have to arrange for a plumber to hook up my sink after the countertop installation, and I had that prearranged with the plumber. It took about half the day to finish the job. They cleaned up, I paid the bill including a little extra since JT had done the extra work for me, and they left. I love my new countertops! I now know JT does excellent work and I will use JT again for my bathroom countertop.
