They sell extended warranties. It was a low price for a warranty. I initially bought mine through the seller of the appliances. The work started in August and was completed in October. Bankers Warranty Group initially said that the serial numbers didn't match, and that the seller would have to confirm the serial number, and they did that. Bankers Warranty Group later said that they didn't cover that because the door gasket damage was probably done by someone. They tried twice to refuse service. After a state intervention they authorized the repair and I got the seller’s technician back to do the repair. It was an interesting experience. It shows that it pays to complain sometimes. I was frankly very surprised at how quickly they acted after state intervention.
