Estimate:  Tony arrived to the appointment on time, discussed design possibilities, and gave us an estimate for design, permit engineering drawings, pulling the permit with the City of Miami, and building the awning.  Estimate was $3600.00 total, one half down, job to start when permit approved by city.
Build:  Came to install on June 5, 2012.  The design is excellent, the aluminum designed to look like wood rafters is very good, and the quality of the installers' workmanship is better than expected.
Permit:  On the day of installation, Recol stated that the permit had been approved, but had "accidentally" been left in another car.  I withheld $400 of the price upon completion, stating that I would pay it when the approved permit and inspection had been done.  Between June 5 and August 15, 2012, I have called all available phone numbers numerous times requesting that this be completed.  Tony will not answer any telephones he recognizes as mine, and when I am able to talk to him, he always states that he "will go to the City and take care of it tomorrow."  
We have offered to do anything we can do to help with the city, but o date no permit has been given to me, and no permit has been pulled against my property.
I believe the permit was not applied for.  We would not have contracted the job if we had not researched Recol's ability to pull permits with the city.  We now have an illegal addition to our home, and are very unhappy with the service.
We are still available to Recol, and wish they would solve this problem.

I paid them half up front in June. They still have not started the job when they initially said the job would be completed by the end of November. Between those times were tried to get hold of the owner but never could and the office was very rude. I would like to get my $7100 back so I can get the job completed by a reputable company.
