Maphy Construction

This company was provided as a sub-contractor by Home Depot. They initially installed the window in August of 2014 but shortly after the installation and inspection I realized the window had several chips in the glass. I don't know if this occured during the installation or if the window arrived that way from the manufacturer but either way, I blame Maphy for either causing the damage or failing to notice it prior to installation. Maphy reinstalled a new window (for Home Depot) in December. During this installation they fashioned a scaffold under the window using a ladder on one side and a board on the other which they drilled into my fence without my permission. The owner of the company also opened my trash cans and took out an old cardboard chainsaw box that had been in my garage for the past year. He then proceeded to submerge the dirty cardboard in my swimming pool. I immediately confronted him and he told me he did it because the hose wasn't getting the cardboard wet enough. I asked why he needed it to be wet and he basically said they were going to use it as a tool during the installation.
On multiple visits to my property for 2 window installations and 1 visit to install window clip covers, they always needed to borrow my tools. My ladder was always used and at one point I lent them a pair of rubber handled cutters which they used to hammer in the window clip covers, damaging the rubber grip and leaving red marks and scratches on the covers.
I would have given an F rating overall but the window was ultimately installed so I have given them a D.

This company has since been fired by Home Depot.
