My 12 week project took 14 months; They had to redo the roof twice, They did not tie it in so rain came into the house. At one point the roof fell in and ruined the carpet in the 3rd bedroom. Then they laid the wrong carped in the wrong room. The carpet did not fit the room. So we had to reorder the carpet. There were times that they didn't show up for weeks. 

I can not legally sell my home, because of they did not put windows accord to code.

After making the final $10,000 payment in November, 2011, the job came to an abrupt halt.  When we finally moved from Alabama on November 15, 2011, and after being assured the job was complete, we had to stay in a hotel for a week as the house was far from ready to live in.  Heron was in and out of the house sporadically for the next week or two but then disappeared completely.   We had paid Heron 100% of the agreed amount but they only completed approximately 80% of the job.  We then had to hire another contractor to complete the job.  Ken Hearon refused to respond to any of my calls, emails, messages and even did not respond to the Better Business Bureau when they sent them an inquiry.  The last time I encountered Mr. Hearon was  January 2, 2012 when I ran into him I in Walmart in Destin, FL.  He promised to call me after the holidays settled down, but I never heard from him again.  After living in the home for a year, I realized that much of Heron Builders work was shoddy and had to be redone at my additional expense.
