The Chimney Co

With winter here, we needed to have our chimney in working order. I came across The Chimney Co. On Google and they didn't disappoint. Patrick and his team were very professional and knowledgeable. They got our chimney back up and in working order. I would definitely recommend the Chimney Company to anyone who is looking for a great company with great results.

Cap was oversized and not fitted properly. After It blew off during hurricane Sally the measurements didn't add up. So far the chase has held up.

Work was done January of this year. The cap was incorrect in size as a 12inch and the pipe is a 10 inch. I guess they figured I would never go up there to look but after the cap blew off after hurricane Sally I had no choice. I spent $289 for a cap that was just sitting up there and not even installed the way it should have.

Great. Right on time and very reasonable.

Never again!!! Two men showed up and taped a garbage bag over the top of the chimney pipe ( I tipped them $20) and then I was told they would be back the next week with the part. I was quoted $200, which I agreed to, and as of today 2/06/18 that was 3 1/2 weeks ago! I’ve called but get NO ANSWER and NO RETURN CALL. Sad, I called them because they were local!!!

Not good. He didn't want to clean chimney,he said that it was unsafe to use,that I should buy an insert from his company instead.

I called The Chimney Co and scheduled an appointment for a chimney inspection and cleaning. I took off work early to meet them at my house on the scheduled day and time. No one ever showed up or called to say they were not going to make it. To make things worse, I called numerous times to get an explanation but no one answered or returned my phone calls. I also called back a day after and still no answer or returned phone call.

Never contacted me. Did not respond to my phone message. Took my money.

On time; excellent work - cleaned well, no mess left behind. Inspection completed and existing damage explained well with suggestions and a plan to repair soon. Very pleased with technicians.

Chimney was clean so didn't require cleaning. Provided inspection report for the sale of the house.

Found out it would cost 4100.00 to fix all that is wrong. Were told that the chimney wasn't install properly to begin with... Just not worth out to have a fireplace that we would only use a few times a year. Very honest and pleasant.

He came over and he cleaned the chimney. It is an old house. He told me it wasn't up to code anymore, so I shouldn't use the fireplace. But that is ok because he said he would fix it for a couple of thousand dollars. I kind of figured it wasn't up to code because it was an old house. Well we only use the fireplace once or twice a year so I said no that is ok we are not going to invest in that. He was nice enough he just wrote out the estimate and showed what has to be done. He didn't pressure me or anything. He just said if and when you are ready to get it fixed, call me. So, that was a good experience. He was fine. It was a good experience. It was a cheap thing. We have been living in the house for 7 years and I never had to fix it. So, it was easy to do. On him doing the work, we are not going to do that. We are not going to use the fireplace. He told us he wouldn't use the fireplace if he was me. I believe him. That was the thing I was mostly wanting to do - have it inspected. When I first bought the house, the house inspector said it was fine. I didn't really think that. It was ok. It was a good experience. He did what he came to do. He cleaned the chimney. On quality, it was excellent, he didn't leave a piece of soot here. On responsiveness, he came right away when I made the appointment. On punctuality, he came right on time.

Technician inspected chimney. Said that due to limited use, the chimney did not need cleaning. Provided an inspection and gave a number of recommendations. Was always attempting to upsale. Total cost of repairs would be nearly $3,000. Declined repair options.

Very satisfied with the service.

They did a wonderful job.  It took about an hour or so. The cap we had, had gotten hit by a tree, so they had to replace that.

It worked out fairly well. They were courteous, they came in and they did their job.

Jason was on time and personable. He did a thorough cleaning of my chimney. He had cloths down on floor to keep from making any mess. I would recommend him to others.

Everything went good.  The guy was very good. He did a good job.

Cleaning went well. Inspection was just a visual from the ground, I would have felt better about an inspection from the roof.

Did a great job cleaning every thing but they were supposed to come back and fix a few things which they have not so far. We have called them several times with no reply.
