The contractor showed up when expected and went to work removing shingles on the roof and the vinyl siding on the chimney. He found the flashing was poorly installed and caused the rot which caused the leak. He replaced the decking, repaired the trusses, rebuilt the chimney frame, installed a cricket, laid moisture barrier, flashed the chimney and replaced the shingles with look-alike shingles that matched the old shingles nicely.
Part of the contract was to put in a roof vent for the 2nd bathroom fan (it was installed exhausting to the ridge vent by the builder-not to code). This he did on the second day. The crew completely cleaned up after themselves and left the area in pristine condition.
I would recommend Terry Sowell to anyone who wants a quality job at a very reasonable price. This company deserves 5 stars.

"The person that wrote this comment was to ashamed to use his correct name but we know who he is. His roof has passed inspection and everything is fine. This is the first I have heard about his garden being trampled on. When we completed the roofing job this customer was happy and paid in full. When the inspector came out he found a piece of trim below roof level that was not in our contract to fix and the inspector failed the job for cosmetic reasons nothing to with workmanship. This customer would call the office several times a day harrassing the secretaries wanting to know a specific time that the workers would be there to fix the problem. The roofers were on a large house and kept getting rained out so it took longer than expected and we couldn't set an appointment. This customer had NO LEAKS and no workmanship problems just a cosmetic issue that was already like that before we roofed his house. Mr. Sowell corrected this problem for the customer FREE of charge. We have been in business since 1960 and couldn't have done that by doing work like this customer stated."

They were okay. The communication was a little hard but they were very nice. They did a good job. It was very good but not excellent. The price was fair. The workers were excellent. They didn't even have the paper submitted when the inspector was supposed to come so it was not really great.

"We did the best we could with speaking to her because she speaks broken English so I'm sure it was hard for her to understand us as it was for us to understand her. She stayed on the roof the entire time the job was being done and had she had no complaints and was very happy when we finished the job. The paper she is speaking of is a Notice of Commencement that the homeowner has to sign in order to their final inspection. The permit was pulled for the job and it passed inspection the first time the inspector came out."

Terry did abosolutely fantastic work. The first thing I noticed and appreciated was that the fact that they bring a trailor on the property so they can consistenly throw away debris and garabage. Everyday they left, you could hardly tell they were there they cleaned up so well! I would describe Terry and his crew as extremely hard working, incredibly respectful and a pleasure to work with. They were puntcual and prompt and the roof looks better than ever. I highly reccomend their services.

The job went well. When the crew arrived, the materials had already been delivered and placed on the roof. The guys got right to work. There were 4 guys working on the job and even though one had a death in the family while he was working on our house, they were still able to finish the entire job in the 2 1/2 days they said they would. They did a great job and tidied up after themselves. I would definitely hire them again.
