In June 2010, we were preparing the RV to take on our annual trip up North. We had only used it three weekends prior to this. We cleaning and conditioning the roof, we noticed a couple of areas where the rubber had bubbled up. At that time, the bubbles were about an inch long.
During our trip, the side wall in the bedroom, that Mr. Snow had replaced popped free. When doing do, the wallpaper was torn apart. When it popped free, we could see that the original wall (that was to be removed) was still there. Mr. Snow simply covered it up. Upon seeing this, we removed the wall outlets on the wall behind the bed, and could see that the original wall there had also not been removed, as contracted, and again, simply covered up. When we felt inside, the original panel was crumbling from rot. This was exactly why the wall was to be removed during the repair and replaced.
After returning home, we again did a roof cleaning. Now the bubbles were four inches long.
We called our insurance company, GMAC and explained everything. They advised us to call Mr. Snow. We called Mr. Snow and he said we only had a one year warranty on the labor. However, he agreed to come to the house to view the damage. Mr. Snow came over on July 10, 2010. While Mr. Snow was looking at the bedroom wall, I told him about us having to replace the wood under the bed and why. He laughed about this and just shrugged. I then asked why water damaged paneling had not been removed prior to him putting new paneling over it. Again, he laughed. He said it would be hard to remove the paneling on the side, due to it sticking to the insulation. I reminded him that the front did not have the insulation like the sides. He shrugged and began talking about when we could bring the RV back over to his place so he could pull the bead-board off and inspect ?things?. We also talked about the roof and he confirmed he had only laid OSB over the old roof. I told him it was bubbling up and he shrugged.
A month or so later, we took the RV back over to Mr. Snow's place of business (which is run out of his home). He kept the RV for over two weeks. When we retrieved it, the bedroom walls that had been wallpapered were a mess. Mr. Snow had sprayed adhesive to the outside of the wallpaper and pushed it back down, making it impossible to remove. He re-glued the side wall panel down. It appears he did remove the old paneling behind the bed and replaced the bead board. He did nothing with the roof.
In May of this year, the skylight began leaking. We went up on the roof and pulled it off. We saw that when Mr. Snow had replaced the skylight, he had not put ANY caulking under it; he had replaced it and caulked around it only. That is never done on an RV.
In July of this year, the roof began leaking in the bedroom, on the opposite side of where it had happened prior. Except, the previous leak had been caused by damage done in a severe storm. This leak just 'happened'. We can't see where it is coming from, other than the NEW ROOF.
Because of the horrendous repair job Mr. Snow did, the value of our RV is near nothing. The bedroom walls look horrible; the new roof leaks due to being improperly installed; one nightstand is being ruined due to the leak. We currently have a tarp draped over the roof of the RV to prevent further damage. Mr. Snow was paid OVER $5000.000 for this job!
Prior to the roof damage (in 2009) and prior to Mr. Snow getting his hands on our RV, it was immaculate.
