never showed up, never called to cancel, very irresponsible.

They called the service person they recommended for me and refused to charge me anything for their visit. I was VERY impressed and pleased, and would ABSOLUTELY call them again! The only mix-up was caused on the part of Angie's list. Champion was listed as a 24-7 service, but they said they had called Angie's list to change that. They did arrive promptly early Monday morning.

On Nov 4th, my septic tank was serviced by the Champion technician. At that time, he recommended that I install 2 risers to improve tank access at $400 ($200 each). He also determined that the drain field was bad. And, because the field was bad, he recommended that I call his boss, James Champion for an estimate to install a new/replacement septic field/system. On Nov 7th, when risers were to be installed, James Champion came out to provide a "free estimate" for a new/replacement system. At that time, he determined that the septic tank lid was cracked/broken and would not pass inspection. (This was overlooked at the initial tank inspection by his technician.) After about an hour on the premises, James Champion provided an estimate of $10,000 to install a replacement system "w/$400 credit for risers since the main septic tank lid was broken". Since I needed a new system, I shopped around but ultimately did not select Champion to install the new system because of Champion's higher cost. On Nov 8th, I called James Champion to inform that I had selected another company for the new/replacement septic system and requested he refund the $400 paid for the risers. Subsequently, he sent me a check in the mail for $175 and the receipt stated that that amount was the refund minus 3 hours of time at $75/hour. Simply put, I was not refunded the full $400 but was charged $225 to provide what should have been a "free estimate" to install a new/replacement system. Although we found Champion Septic through Angie's List, we have been highly disappointed in the outcome and are happy now that we did not select them to install the new/replacement system. In sum, oversight of the cracked lid during the initial inspection by Champion lead to further inconvenience and cost if not outright price gouging.

Shannon pumped out 2 tanks, he arrived a little early as well. The second tank had a broken lid that had to be replaced. He told me that he would do his best to get it in by weeks end. Next thing I know, he calls 2 hours later telling me that he was worried that someone might get hurt due to no lid, so he went back to the shop and found a lid and replaced it! I was impressed with this, it was out of his way but goes to show what a wonderful company they have. Also, this was one of 5 companies I called, the other 4 never returned my calls, the owner answered when I called Champion.

It had been 20 months since the last time the tank was pumped, by another company. When I was informed there was a filter, I was surprised since the last company did not do anything with a filter. When he pulled the filter, it was evident that had contributed to my problem. Looked like it was 75% clogged. That was probably blocking the tank from emptying. It was extra to clean the filter but well worth it. I highly recommend using this company for septic pumping.

James was professional and punctual. We were grateful for the responsiveness to our request for assistance and the expeditious manner in which he was able to complete the work. We would highly recommend James and Champion Septic to anyone needing septic work.

Our toilets started making a gurgling noise Monday morning. Our septic tank was overdue for a clean out. I called Champion Septic and they came out the same day. Just pumped out the tank, no additional problems were found.

Mr. Champion arrived on time and got right to work. My septic tank was full of liquid because my septic alarm wires were old and frayed and therefore causing my breaker to trip. Mr. Champion replaced the old septic alarm, installed a new sump pump and because my wiring was run incorrectly (Over the lid of the septic tank) when my house was built, Mr. Champion re-ran the wiring from the pump to the house. Note: Mr. Champion advised me that I did not need a new sump pump at this time, however, I had him install a new one because mine was reaching the end of its life. I appreciated Mr. Champion's honesty by not trying to sell me on things I did not need. I will definitely use Mr. Champion for all of my future septic needs.

James Champion which is the owner operator arrived at site and immediately found the location of the septic tank. He pumped out and gave me an education on maintenance of septic tank system. I have always had houses in the past on a sewer system. So I was at his mercy for doing the work and on time. He showed up on time and was competitive with other vendors. I liked the fact that he was the one doing the service and not an hourly employee. I wold highly recommend him to anyone for an honest and knowledgeable service.

Very well. Called for evaluation and estimate. Arrived promptly. Informative. Explained well. This is their 2nd time I have used their services (1st time for pump out) Both times very good experience.

James came and pumped out our septic tank. We were worried it was a bad drain field causing our problems but he assured us it was a maintenance issue and that we needed to get our tank pumped out every 3-5 years regularly. He was very knowledgable and I will use him again for anything septic tank related.
