Cherokee Remodeling and Landscape Joe White

We originally agreed on a price for remodeling the main house plus a mother in law suite of $20,025.00 so as the project started to   I gave Joe a $7000.00 draw then on 10/3 another $7,000 then on 10/11 another $3,000 and my biggest mistake was giving him the final draw on 10/17 of $3500 which was actually higher them the original quote. On 10/17 We agreeed on another $5000.00 in work and I told him that he would not be paid until the job was finished and Joe agreed. So 10/25 comes along andhe is already 2 weeks behind schedule and I get a phone call on on 10/25 requesting more money he said he needed to pay his guys and that's when he ripped me off when I would not give him anymore money he just quit the job and let me with an unfinished house. I guess he figured I pulled the plug on the mother in law suite and he was not going to get anymore money so he left. Joe also took hundreds of dollars of materials that I purchased on my Home Depot did a store return with no receipt got a store credit and tried to sell the cards to my neighbor. The bottom Joe left me high and dry and did not finish the job and I am down $4000 easy cause I still have to pay someone else to finish and he never did the mother in law suite that I paid for.
