Eventually, a tech called my dad. I did not hear the conversation, but my dad got the idea that they were asking $175.00 for a service call, and that if they were not able to do anything tonight, they would go home and charge him anyway, and he would get nothing for his money.
I assumed their policy was to do what other companies do: apply the cost of the initial call to the price of the actual work, when done. I figured my dad had misunderstood. To satisfy my dad, I called them to confirm the policy. They said they would call back in 20 minutes or so.
I made several more calls, trying to get them to respond. It is now 11:17, and no sign of Weathermakers.
The ladies who answer the phone are very nice. Not sure what's going on with the people they work for.
I didn’t like that the bill was not itemized.
"We are a flate rate company meaning we have a set price book based on the national average of our industry. Any customer wishing for a breakdown of totalled charges will absolutely receive this information. Thank you, Weathermakers"
