I hired Ben for a small job- hanging closet bifold doors. He was 1.5 hours late. He did the job quickly but installed handles wrong because he eyeballed it instead of actually measuring. He asked for cash. I gave him a large bill and he agreed to cash app change. The change never came and now he avoids all text messages and calls. The ironic part is I was going to give him multiple other jobs needing to be done around the house worth way more to him than what he owes me. The only positive is that I learned quickly he is not trustworthy or detail oriented. I would not recommend.

Benjamin Phelps was hired and I sent him $975 and he never did the work. I am a senior citizen that trusted him to complete the job but instead he never showed up and lied about returning the money. After googling his name I was shocked to find his arrest record and this is someone you need to stay away from. My only recourse is to go to probation and parole and civil court. Do not hire this con artist.

They came late, were smoking , took the door off, promised to replace it, never came back, never responded to my calls. These guys have no professional ethic, don't care about customer satisfaction, never show up when they say they will and perform substandard work. Ben had done previous work for me last spring and exhibited the same irresponsible behavior and explained he was having personal problems. He reached out to me again and I decided to give him another chance. He then proceeded to be even worse. He took the door and never replaced it or brought it back. I contacted him numerous times and he ignored me. This guy should not be in business and is a disgrace to those who work hard and provide professional repair services.

Dennis was excellent. We had issues in our kitchen and two bathrooms. He came as an emergency call and resolved all 3. He is efficient, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.

Asked for 4 simple repairs and got messy results. Very poor communication skills, was called delusional because I didnâ t like that the new bath tub stopper wasnt draining the water around the perimeter of it. I also paid for new laundry roof tiles to be replaced and was told that the new one that was replaced had a hole because that was the only way to place it but my previous tile that was there did not have any holes. Ben did offer to check a sink link that started after his repair and to repair another ceiling tile that had a leak.. Unfortunately, after these repairs and the terrible communication I will not be using this company in the future.

Ben and Sol showed up quickly and took care of my job with ease. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Ben was excellent. We need a roof repair. He and his assistant were there the next day. Found leak on roof, repaired in timely manner, cleaned up…Very Thorough. Took before and after pics and texted throughout repair process. Checked out other potential roof repairs and gave us quote which was 1/2 cost of previous quote. Very polite, people person, honest and great work ethic. With bad rain and wind storms of this week, repairs worked with no further issues. Highly recommend. Will be hiring for other roof work and other projects in immediate future. Highly recommend!!!!

Ben and team installed drywall, then plastered and painted the entire second floor ceiling, including a vaulted ceiling, after we had mold remediation that required total ceiling removal. He worked quickly and gave us regular updates about progress. And in addition to the drywall install upstairs, he helped patch holes in ceilings on the first floor of the house where we had minor mold remediation. He also reinstalled a huge mirror that had been taken off one of the walls of our bathroom, reaffixing it and all of the fixtures with it. Ben gave us a great price, and treated the house like his own. Highly recommend!

I called Top Rate Plumbing when my toilet clogged over a weekend. My 2 year old flushed a toy down our toilet and the water began to rise and leak all over the floor. It was on a Saturday and I was terrified of how much a plumber over the weekend would cost, but I had no choice. I called a few places, but Top Rate were the only ones to give me directions to turn off the valve until they arrived. I had a good feeling about them from the beginning. The plumber arrived in a timely manner, he got to work immediately and was able to get the toy out with a snake. It wasn’t easy, he had to remove the toilet, but he got the job done. When he was finished he cleaned up his work area and didn’t leave my bathroom a mess, I really appreciated that! More importantly their price was extremely reasonable given it was on a Saturday and what he had to do to get the toy out. He also gave us tips on how to seal our toilet back to the floor ourselves. I truly hope never to have another plumbing issue again, but if I do, Top Rate Plumbing will be my go to from now on.

In April I was in the process of selling my home. I had failed inspection due to polybutylene’s piping. I had gotten different quotes for the job and I decided to go with Top Rate Plumbing. They did an excellent job and finished in time to meet deadline. I had recommended them to my family and friends, and I will definitely use them in the future.

This company was the best, about 6 months ago I needed to replace my shower pan. They were very knowledgeable and worked at a great pace. I am very pleased with the results. Highly recommended!!!

Ben and his team did an incredible job with extensive exterior work on our house. They were quick to respond, on time, worked long hours to get the job done as efficiently as possible, and charged us an incredibly reasonable price. About the job: we just had our roof replaced and accordion shutters removed. There were large portions of our porch and under the eaves along the house where unfinished wood was exposed, and had been hastily installed. The shutter removal left large patches of the house unpainted, and there was damage that needed repair. Ben made a thoughtful assessment of our homeâ s needs to get it looking as good as possible. Our house is a corner lot, and Ben was incredibly considerate about his recommendation: he wanted to help us make sure the house looks great from all angles. He and his team powerwashed our house, painted it, refined woodwork and stucco that hadnâ t been installed properly, caulked areas that had been overlooked when we had new windows installed. In short, Ben and his team cared deeply about fixing problems we didnâ t even know about. He even offered advice about low-cost extras we could do now to make a big impact, including updating 5 sconces and replacing our floodlights system that was outdated - both at an incredible price. The team went ahead and power washed our driveway and walkways at no additional cost. We felt taken care of and trust Benâ s judgement implicitly: when he says itâ s important to fix something, we do. I canâ t recommend Ben and his team highly enough!

The work was done fast and the price is reasonable I would recommend them

We hired Ben and Sol to paint the exterior of our house. I must say it was not a smooth process. When questioning many things, unprofessional responses by Ben (as if he was doing me a favor) were given. I think the first mistake I made was hiring a handyman instead of a professional painting company to paint my house. His wife and team are kind and hardworking. Perhaps the one good thing the company has going. His team however would arrive late and stay working through the night, as a result you guessed it, many details were missed. Example: walls not painted properly, scratches from ladders. As per Ben it did not matter even if his team would show up at 4 pm, my house would get painted. We should just carry along with our day and let them work. The second mistake was not having the most minimal details of what had to be done in writing, as some things were said but not executed. His contract seemed rushed and asking for clarifications were a mission. Third mistake was paying the second amount before doing a proper walk through. He stated he needed the money a.s.a.p. as he was in negative numbers. As a result, we paid him but you guessed it, no proper walk through. He stated doing a walk through by himself in the middle of the night. Many details still needed to be corrected yet his last response was ?maybe he can pass by in two weeks or better yet maybe my husband can just fix it. If after reading this you decide to contract this company good luck, as we honestly would never hire them again!
