Moving is a difficult process. The crew were careful, and fast. There were no issues with the handling of material that was moved. The reason I am giving a B instead of an A is that Suddath gave me a window of 5 days for the delivery, and they could not narrow it down until immediately before delivery. I flew to from Miami to Grand Rapids to supervise the unloading, and I had to stay in a motel for 6 days waiting for delivery. Delivery was on the last day of the 5 day window, and I believe it should have been possible to anticipate this. The Suddath representative was very nice, and explained things well, but in the end the business policy was not accomodating.

They charged me through the nose.  They never reimbursed me for any of the breakage.  I don't think I would refer anybody to them.

Tony De La Torre, the estimator/coordinator is great - every review you read anywhere about this company says so. But most people, us included, have less happy things to report about the rest of the company.
We did all of our own packing. The loading crew was helpful and fast. I thought they could have been gentler with things like mirror/picture boxes but I wasn't overly concerned because I thought I had packed well.
We had to have Suddeth store our goods for several weeks before delivery. We were told that our belongings would be placed in a dedicated shipping container to keep it separate from other orders and secure
The delivery crew made sure everything was placed where I wanted it and made sure every numbered item was accounted for. I did watch them bring in several boxes marked and quot;top loadand quot; that were 2nd or 3rd down in the stack being wheeled in. But I have pictures of 5 different boxes clearly marked and quot;top loadand quot; with tops so crushed that I don't think delivery day was the 1st time they'd had heavier things stacked on top of them. Fortunately, our packing was good enough that we didn't find anything broken in those boxes.
What I did find, however, was that clothing we had left in dresser drawers had been pawed through, I assume by someone looking for valuables. I even found clothing in one of my drawers that does not belong to me! Somebody obviously had rifled through another family's things, too, and then just stuffed things back into any drawer. If our belongings were kept separate from other orders, how did somebody go through more than one family's belongings in close enough proximity that somebody else's clothes got shovedinto my dresser? And security? Obviously none. I believe we are very, very lucky that we packed our own belongings and certainly that we left nothing of any real value anywhere these sleezebags could get at it.

I would like to say that the moving process is never easy but I was very happy with the service that Suddath offered to make it an easy transition. Our driver John and coordinator Bonnie were excellent and very courteous to all my requests. The crews hired to pack and unpack were also very professional and paid close attention to not damaging walls or floors. I found this company using Angies list and happy I did so. I rated them a B on the price because they were a little higher than some other quotes I received, but I chose them because of their punctuality and professionalism in the estimate process. They picked up exactly at the day I was told and time and the furniture was delivered at the exact time I requested. Overall a great job and I would certainly use them again. Thank you!

This is a company who organized your move but I think they hire other companies to do the moving. I have no idea how much its going to cost because my company is paying for it. I would say that if I had to pay, I wouldn't hire them. I thought that they used too many wooden cages that weren't necessary, I am assuming just to ask for more money because my husband is a lawyer. I have moved the very same furniture around the world and I have seen all different packing methods that you can imagine. One place may say you need things crated and others don't. I moved from New York years ago and used someone who was much more highly sophisticated than this one because they had a barcode. This one didn't have a barcode. They try to tell you that you have control over the boxes coming from your home but if they don't have a box on the list, you don't know if that box is lost. It is not a 100% system.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY TREATED MY FURNITURE AS IF IT WAS THEIR OWN. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED THAT THEY UNPACKED MY THINGS WHEN THEY DELIVERED THEM. THEY DID NOT BREAK A SINGLE THING.

THEY WERE AN EXCELLENT COMPANY. I HAD ANOTHER COMPANY THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THERE, BUT NEVER SHOWED UP. WHEN I CALLED THIS COMPANY THEY CAME AND SAVED ME. THEY WERE NICE GENTLEMEN WHO GOT THE WORK DONE CORRECTLY.
