Shell Lumber

We spent thousands of dollars on interior doors, baseboards, and overhang material. They messed up one door and neglected to expedite the process of getting us the right one. They dropped the ball at every turn and their representatives Sergio Bonilla and his manager Izzy Perdomo never apologized and were very slow in replying to our emails. This caused us additional expense because we had to pay extra in bringing an installer and painter back for one door. In addition we asked for a refund , credit or a return with a restocking fee on material that was not used at all and they refused because it was over 30 days. They have no regard for their customers and it seems like their attitude is that we should be glad they are doing business with us. We are still waiting on our door, going on five weeks since it was returned to them to fix it. We wanted to do business with a local small business but found out the hard way that we should stay away from some of them. With Home Depot and Lowes offering unlimited returns with no questions asked we should have known better.

They have all the good wooden stuff there. I finished a huge room and put an 18th century ship in one room with cannons, decks, guns and stuff. I am working on a Medieval Room now right now and I am doing all this by myself so I buy everything from sheet rock and for instance I made my own granite stone arches and stuff like that. Sometimes if they don't have a particular paint or something I have look for it elsewhere. They are super there, the people there are friendly, and helpful. I prefer Shell Lumber because unlike other places where a lot of the Spanish people speak English a lot of them don't understand English. They have much exotic and high quality stuff that other lumber stores don't have. Price wise they are average. However it is hard to compare them. Here I buy all my high end stuff but in the other places I buy the cheaper stuff. When I went there once they were out of something but they told me that they would have it on a particular day and I wanted something else too and they said that they will order that and they told me they would provide me with both the stuff that I needed on the same day. So they were very responsive.

The people there are very knowledgeable and helpful. Their pricing is reasonable and their customer service is excellent. They are professional, responsive and I have been satisfied with their service.

There are a lot of people helping customers and shopping is fast.
