Real Estate Service, Home Inspection
I returned home to find muddy footprints through out my home (all over my floors, my bathtubs, even perfect sandy footprints in my garage and lanai). I found a wet "guest" towel on the floor of my daughters bathroom (in a pile on the floor next to the toilet), a mess of insulation on the floor in my master closet, and my refrigerator and stove were not pushed back in to place properly. Now, I understand an inspector must be able to inspect a home, but for God Sake, clean up after your self and have some respect!!!! In addition, his report indicated two leaks in my roof soffits. I called a roofer to come fix the issue (after the buyer backed out of the sale) and guess what....NO LEAKS. NO STAINING. NO INDICATION OF ANY ISSUES WITH MY ROOF. Lesson -- I am purchasing a home. Yes, I am hiring a home inspector. But I am bringing a roofer and an AC professional with me too. A "home inspector" is not an expert in these areas. If you have concerns - bring a professional.
