RED Fine Hardwood timely delivered a finish that pays homage to, and shows off, each individual hardwood board. We chose RED because we wanted a quality finish by a craftsperson invested in the results. From the beginning, Ramon walked through RED’s process, and was transparent about the possibilities. The same expert who gave us the estimate, Ramon, was the one managing that process and on site finishing our floors. When considering options, we liked that RED indicated everything would be done in-house, which detail was on display: The crew proudly wore their RED shirts and each person on the job was knowledgeable, polite, careful, and happy to answer any questions. We had a tight time-frame, and RED delivered on time. They were there to help throughout and attentive to the details — taking time to make sure doors would not scratch the finish and helping to protect our investment. We intend to reach out to RED on our next project.

We have recently hired Red Fine to restore some old wood floors we have in our home that the previous owner had painted over. Armando and his team came and were always on time and worked in a very professional manner. The work they put into the preparation of the floors even before reaching the point of staining was meticulous and truly amazing! These guys are not just your average wood floor guys, they are real craftsman! What they have done to our floors has totally surpassed our expectations! The floors look brand new and they were able to match the color we wanted perfectly. The whole process has been very smooth and a very pleasant experience as they are really nice guys and they obviously take great pride in their work. Our home was also kept quite clean through the process as the dust was minimal. The whole job took a little longer than expected but it was well worth the wait! They have completely restored our wood floors and made them look brand new again! I cannot give a more positive review of Red Fine and would not hesitate to use them again in the future. RED Fine Hardwood floors restored our living room and bedroom wood floors, removed old tiles in the dining room and the kitchen and installed new hardwood floors. The team of four people far exceeded our expectations in terms of quality of work, professionalism, attitude, clear communication, timeliness and just about everything you are looking for in a dream contractor. We have a nearly 70-year-old house with original wood floors in the living room and two bedrooms and tiles in the dining room and the kitchen. Numerous layers of tiles have been added over 70 years creating uneven floor heights especially in dining room and the kitchen. We wanted to even out the floors and looked at several options and contractors but never felt comfortable to go ahead with this project. It was a complicated job. It all changed when we contacted RED after reading their stellar reviews. Armando came in on a Saturday morning and spent time studying what needs to be done and came back for a second visit with Ramon. Together they discussed various ways to achieve what we had in mind. Several months ago Ramon Diaz of RED FINE HARDWOOD FLOORS 305-302-2654 was recommended to me by several of my neighbors This was my husband's family home where he grew up, and we really needed to feel that we could trust someone with this massive task. From the very moment I spoke with Ramon, to the day he and I met, and then throughout the process, he and his brothers (it is a family affair including his father who is now retired), he and they have been thorough, very detailed, careful, respectful, knowledgeable, understanding of our timeline, always took our calls or returned them timely, and flat out exceptional professionals to work with. Ramon explained the process in great detail when we first met, told us that the floors had to breath basically since they had been covered with vinyl for some 45 to 50 years, how ideally we need to let them cure once the process is done, explained in detail about the machinery and products which were going to be used, what was going to be supplied to us once the work was done (and how to use those maintenance products), and basically shared with us how everything was going to be handled from the first step, to the last step. When I had some additional questions they offered to show us a home they had just finished in Shenandoah. Their home was spectacular and they could not say enough about Ramon and the family. There was never, ever, a "surprise" or "misunderstanding". Every single step, every process, every matter, every cost, all of it, was professionally handled, explained and addressed. They took their time at every stage. What a labor of love. Never complained, always left the work site at the end of the day clean, never left their items in disarray, never had an attitude and never ever did they arrive late. Let me begin by stating that I am eternally grateful for the craftsmanship performed on our old oak floors. By the time this family run business is completed with your old, scratched and uneven wooden floors they will be so unrecognizable that you’d think they were replaced! We live in a circa 1926 home with original oak floors that had been haphazardly treated in the past. While many may prefer blondes, the color is an outright atrocity on floors. I have a fascination with ebony floors and wanted to capture the regal elegance of dark floors without further shrinking our already small 20’s styled rooms. Not only did the team at Redwood Floors help me hand select the perfect color, but went the extra mile to educate me on the arduous step-by-step process of wood resurfacing. Their professionalism and workmanship is unparalleled to any contractor we have worked with in Miami thus far. I would rate this company a 20 on a scale of 1 to 10! Armando, Ramon and Carlos performed a miracle in my house. The original wood floors were under tile and 2 layers of Durock. They were in ROUGH shape. The refinished floors look better than I could have possibly imagined. They came up with creative and effective solutions to make the wood match in a few problem areas where it was not usable. They added new flooring in other rooms that matched the old flooring perfectly. I could not be happier and would recommend you contact them today for your wood flooring. Great guys, a great finished product.

If you are searching for an experienced family owned wood floor company for your home or business, look no further, RED is it. The team (Ramon, Armando and Carlos) are top notch. They are experienced, honest, trustworthy (access to home at all times without supervision), straightforward professionals that know the ins and outs about wood floors. Their skills and craftsmanship is mind-boggling. They could be somewhat more expensive than the average but worth every penny!!!! I would hire them again in a heartbeat. They are all about quality.

After a flood in my house in Pinecrest which ruined the hardwood floors, they had to be replaced in the living/dining room and in four bedrooms. I contacted Armando who came that very day to measure and give me an estimate. When we signed the contract he assured me that the work would be completed at the end of February and kept his promise. He, Ramon and Carlos are the most professional, courteous and efficient craftsmen I have ever encountered. Through the years I have had floors redone, repaired, or buffed in 4 houses both here in Miami and in New York. I have never met anyone quite as satisfying to work with than the fine craftsmen of Red Fine Hardwood. Armando kept me abreast of what was going on in the house, returned my calls promptly, and in general could not have been more professional nor courteous. They are simply the best and contracting them to do your floors is probably the wisest investment you will ever make in your house! The job was started and completed on the dates that were promised. They put all the furniture back in it's place and added padding to anything that would be touching those floors. The garage, where they kept the wood that they were using, was impeccable when they left it as was the entire house. I cannot possibly recommend them enough!

Words won't properly convey what an excellent job this team did at my home. Perhaps it will even come off as "fake" marketing, but I assure you I couldn't be happier with virtually all levels of their service. To be absolutely clear, if you're interested in quick/cheap work, look elsewhere. RED isn't a "below market" provider. They do not cut corners, so expect to pay an appropriate premium. It's my opinion this premium comes back in long-term savings, quality and is ultimately more cost-effective. Easily worth it.Allow me to begin: *How I arrived at working with RED* Some sheer luck, but I have a thorough system for vetting contractors. Some of it includes Angie's List, where I read both good and bad reviews. First thing I noticed was any poor review on RED's page had nothing to do with work performed. *Once the work began* I had more than a simple re-finishing job. I had visible repairs to consider and likely additional repairs once the job was underway. I'm also admittedly extremely detail-oriented, so I had specific requests. Ramon and Armando, the two I spoke with before the job, were direct and up-front about what they could and could not execute. It also helps they are the ones who do the actual work in your home. There were a few surprises in terms of flooring issues, and we reasonably worked through each of them to mutual satisfaction. You can clearly tell this is a family effort in which each member of the team takes pride in the final product. These were their characteristics: 1. Detail-Oriented - details I suggested was executed and even exceeded 2. Informative/Communicative - really important to have a contractor who can explain each step as needed 3. Anticipatory - they didn't wait for me to tell them what I think should be done 4. Understanding - we adapted to surprises and they adjusted to specific needs 5. Relentless - I have an ongoing termite issue, but the team wouldn't let up until the job was completed to the necessary standard *Intangibles* Some of the main things I worry about with contractors are aspects like trustworthiness and honesty. Having just met this team, their actions allowed me to leave them in my home alone for hours at a time. I couldn't actually recommend their services more. If it costs you a bit extra, write it off as "paying for peace of mind." I love to find "masters" of a particular trade on Angie's or elsewhere. RED was another I've been lucky to meet.

A 5 ⭐️ company!! Unbelievable workmanship professional and remarkable results. I would never use anyone else!! And trust me...you will be totally satisfied. My architect did not believe my older floors could be restored. But Ray and team came to the rescue. This company takes pride in their workmanship!!

This is the second time we hire Red Fine Hardwood Floors. Armando, Ramon and Carlos are true knowledgable and dedicated professionals. They repaired and restored 60 year old red oak floors and they matched it to brand new ones installed in an addition of the house. The floors look amazing and modern. You cannot tell what is the old section and what is new. We would definitly hire them again. A+++

I am writing this review to inform Angie Readers who are searching for a hardwood flooring company in South Florida to inform them that Red Fine Hardwood Floors is by far the best hardwood flooring company not only in Florida but in the country. I have bought and remodeled homes in New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Florida. I have had done total renovations on historical homes in Massachusetts and comtemporary homes in New Jersey, and have dealt with multiple companies and all of them I must say did and excellent job but I'm not afraid to pay above market for high quality work, regardless none of the companies despite how great and satisfied I was did craftsmanship work at the level of Red Fine Hardwood Floors. I contracted with them for my home in Weston Florida, where my flooring company installed real hard wood flooring on a hand crafted open staircase and unfinished hardwood floors on the second level of the home. The hallway was about 6 feet wide and 48 feet long (not counting the foyer) so it was a fairly long hallway and focal point of the second level. Our previous flooring company installed the floors brought in specialized hard flooring professionals on the high end in terms of pricing for South Florida, to stain and finish our floors, and in the floor preparation did damage to the wood which left scratch marks on the stairs and hallway and they were extremely visible. I met with Armando and his team and they informed me that the job would be tuff to correct because of the engineering wood on the second level would need to be sanded and on fact everything needed to be re-sanded and it would be very difficult because if you are not careful sanding you can sand through the engineered wood. I must say Armando and his team approached our job like my house was their personal home and the floors came out beautiful. Armando and his team are not just elite craftsmen but they are experts in their trade. I own my company and my offices are class A build outs and my previous homes up North had to meet the scrutiny of various township Historical Societies! I have dealt with hundreds of quality high-end contractors and I have never experienced a company that conducted themselves on the professional level of Armando and his team. Their services are light years ahead of their competition and if you are thinking of using anyone other than Armando and his team, think twice! I would NOT let anyone touch a piece of hardwood flooring other than Armando and his team.

Ramon and his crew spent several days painstakingly sanding -- with machines and by hand -- the hardwood floors in 4 bedrooms.  We chose a satin finish with water-based poly-u which took two days to apply.  The floors look brand new and beautiful.  The crew was exceptionally tidy, hardworking, polite and professional.  They worked long hours, including a weekend, to get it done.  Ramon is very knowledgeable and it is a pleasure to work with him.  Price-wise, Red Fine was more per SF than the other quotes we received, but they understand that the factory finish that was on the flooring would not come off without multiple passes with the sander.  Ramon also restored all the saddles to like-new condition and left our home neat and clean.  All in all, a perfect job done by true professionals.

After reading all the rave reviews here on Angie's List, I called Red Fine Hardwood to get a quote.  Ray came out the day after, took measurements, and provided us with a  very fair quote a few days later (although he did warn us that the next available slot was the following month).  We agreed to it, and then had to wait a month.  Ray, Armando, and Carlos showed up on time and immediately got to work. We really like that they do NOT subcontract the work -- its a family owned & operated business.  They were professional and friendly, and honest. 

We have 2 different hardwood floors: one is red oak, one is white oak.  We wanted to match them as much as possible.  They originally quoted us a water based stain, but after thoroughly checking the floors, they determined that an oil based stain would accomplish what we wanted BETTER than the water based.  As a result, the price went down substantially (to our delight).  The oil stain DID smell more, and our family had to adjust.  But Ray & his team always stayed on schedule, and in the end, it was completely worth every disruption in our day to day routine!!! In fact, when they finished the red oak floors, we were SO impressed, that at that point we decided to have them [lightly] sand & stain the white oak floors on the other side of the house.

All in all, from start to finish was about 1 1/2 weeks, including drying times & furniture moving. We LOVE our floors...they look brand new!!! Everyone that has seen them cannot believe the difference, and we've already recommended them to one of our family members.  THANK YOU Red Fine Hardwood Floors!!!

There is now way I can describe how satisfied I am with their work. My floor looks amazing ! It even looks better than when it was first installed because of the exceptional sanding and staining job RFHF did. They did such an incredible job that I've had people ask me if the floor is laminated since the planks are so perfectly even. Family and friends though I had replaced all the wood for a different one entirely. That's how good they are! In addition to their great skills their equipment is also top of the line. I was pleasantly surprised as how little residual sawdust was left after they finished every day. I heard nightmares from friends that did this before.
It would not be fair only to praise the outstanding quality of the finished product because this company in addition to quality work also offers extraordinary customer service. Their timing was impeccable. They were always punctual. Not only were they on time for the first meeting to take measurements for the quote but also with providing the estimate, the time of arrival for their daily work and also with accurate estimates of the job completion date. The house was done in three stages (top floor, bottom floor and stairs) and the three times they started and finished exactly as planned.
Their work ethic is commendable. I was at home most of the days when they were working. They would work Monday through Saturday. They would walk through the front door and immediately start whatever was planned for the day. They would work all day non-stop except for the lunch break .
They three of them Ramon, Armando and Carlos were always polite, courteous and professional in the day to day dealings and discussions about the progression of the work. When the job was finished they gave detailed directions for the daily maintenance and cleaning of the floors and they also provided the cleaning tools and furniture protectors.
Having experienced a fiasco with the first company I contacted, RFHF was a blessing. I initially contacted a company with very few recommendations and gave a significant deposit which to this date I have not recovered. My house was dismantled since Labor Day September 2015 and it was mid October and the company had not showed up or returned my calls. I checked Angie's list and was very impressed with the reviews that RFHF had. My first contact was with Ramon who came in to give me a quote. He gave me a very favorable first impression and on discussing the job he came across as experienced and also trustworthy. RFHF went out of their way to accommodate me in their busy schedule. We divided the task in three and before I knew everything was done.
To sum it up - do not look anywhere else. RFHF is the best choice around.
