QUALITY ROOFING CONTRACTORS INC

I had a new roof put on my main house and another roof on the cottage. I have experienced significant leaks in both residences. The cottage suffered extensive flooding first from rain that destroyed the plaster and paint inside, mold growing in closet, to date I have to frequently climb on top of the roof to monitor its integrity. The main house began leaking 3 years after it was installed. I called several times and got the same answer, it's not the roof that's leaking. At this point my ceiling is down in the office, my laundry room ceiling floods. I live with towels in both rooms and buckets to catch the water. I now joined Angie's list, to learn this roofer does not have a desirable reputation. I contacted 3 roofers, 2 contractors, and a building inspector who all reported my problem was the roof and the stucco wall. Two separate problems. They provided me with pictures of areas on the roof that were causing the problem. They all said I have 2 problems. In some areas they are combined problems, but not in all areas. I again tried to reason with Carlos, owner of Quality Roofing and give him another opportunity to make good and his response was that everyone is trying to make money and nothing is wrong with his roof. He was willing to wage a bet with me, first I had to put out $1000 and he will then take the roof off where the ceiling is destroyed underneath. He claims that if the paper underneath is not damaged by nails, I would have to pay him $5000. Have you heard of anything so ridiculous? The other evaluations I got were from contractors on Angies's List. Carlos did not climb up on the roof himself to inspect, he stayed down on the ground. I went up and what he kept stating was not evident. At first I thought he was unwilling to take appropriate responsibility, then it became clear, he was unwilling and unable. That level of intellectual process was not there. Beyond disappointment.

Although I did not choose Quality Roofing to do the work, I wanted to report on the positive dealings I had with the company. Mr. Arocho himself made the visit to do the estimate, and was very considerate and respectful. He did not try to "SELL" me anything, in fact, explained that I could repair my roof instead of making it brand new. My phone encounters with the office staff (Mr. Arocho's daughter or wife) were all very pleasant; I always received a prompt and polite response. In the end, I did not chose this company because I had another estimate that was (slightly) less expensive. But, the price was definitely competitive and I would recommend giving them a call!

Professional, highest quality roofing. We interviewed many neighbors who had had recent roofing done, and 100% of those who used Quality Roofing were really pleased with the results. We have been through hurricane Wilma without a single roof cap missing. A most excellent job!
