Pool Service of America provided my pool service for about 18 months.  Overall I  thought the service was average.  I found a better pool company for less money each month and cancelled the service before the following month.  Despite having cancelled, I was still charged the next month and despite being assured that they would credit my account and leaving two follow-up voice mails, they have not credited back the money and have not returned the calls.  I would not recommend using them in the future.

The guys who came to service the pool weekly were fine, in fact some of them were good, however dealing with the company was another story.  Very slow to respond to needs. Unless I was on top of them all the time, nothing was accomplished. Management rude and arrogant. In 2009 when new Federal regulations required new drain covers in all pools that comply with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool & Safety Act, I spoke to the manager January 29th, paid the $126.26 with my American Express card and was told it would be installed within the next 5 days. February 25th, I realized it had not  been done so I CALLED HIM and left a message. February 27th he actually called back and assured me it would be done which eventually it was. No apology or explanation was forthcoming as to the one month delay. That's the arrogance. The straw that broke the camel's back was two weeks ago when the pool tech came to clean the pool and the pump would not turn on. I asked him to tell the manager. I never heard from him. Five days later I CALLED HIM and he assured me that he personally would come out on the Monday and check the pump and let me know what the problem is. Monday came and went, on Tuesday or Wednesday I CALLED HIM and he told me we need a new pool pump. I asked him when we had last purchased a pool pump and he told me he could not look it up as it was over two years ago. I thought that was strange and looked up my own records and lo and behold, the last time we purchased a new pump was in September 2009 which is NOT two years ago! He also quoted me some outrageous price for a new pool pump which led me to investigate further. Cut a very long story short, turns out it was not the pump, it was the electric current from the house to the pump that was 110 and not 220. My electrician confirmed this to me and corrected the problem. So, I now have a new pool service and strongly advise against getting involved with this company.

Originally given bid in writing. Manager took over, told me written bid was not ok. He demanded more money for doing pool. As we were against a deadline, we accepted with a good deal of anger. During work asked for additional quote for a pool light. He took so long getting back that pool had already started filling and could not be done. Deeply disappointed with their work. Tried to contatct owner, was cut off by same manager.

They are well trained and well equipped. They are professional and punctual as well. The quality of their work is good and I have been satisfied with their service.

Terrible unresponsive customer service. Overbilled me and sent me to collections. Then credited my account for less money that I actually overpaid them and then sent me a check for even less. Still havn't cashed it. It was too insulting. They were just terrible.
