ONE FOR ALL MAJOR APPLIANCE

My dishwasher is leaking water.  I called this company because they said they specialize in the brand of dishwasher that I have.  The guy told me that the service call would be $50, plus any parts or labor.  First he told me that my motor was broken and that I would need to replace it for $800.  Then he told me the springs on the door were broken and would need to be replaced.  Having dealt with this dishwasher brand before, I knew it was better to call the manufacturer to check on the prices.  Boy am I glad I did?the gentleman actually laughed when I told him how much the guy said the motor was.   Furthermore, since I have 2 dishwashers, I also showed him that the other dishwasher (not the one I originally called him for) was moving around in the cabinetry.  He proceeded to screw the dishwasher into place better.  For all of this hard work (tightening screws) he charged me $175.  When I protested, he lowered the price to $155 and told me that I could use it towards the new motor.  BUYER BEWARE!
