Last Minute Gas Contractors

We built our home 4 years ago and even before we moved in, there were issues with our water system. We went through 2 professional companies that supposedly specialized in our newer system, but the issues kept on happening. Last Minute Inc. was the only company who discovered what was dangerously wrong and corrected the many issues. Carlos and his employee were punctual, professional, and experts in dealing with our issues when other who professed knowing what they were doing, failed. Thank you so much

They knew what they were doing and were professional and on time. It just turned out that part was not actually what was wrong with the water heater at the time. So they did their job perfectly. We didn't do our job of analyzing the issue as well as we should have. They did the work and were affordable. I got hold of him after I contacted, like, eight other companies and none of them were willing to work on a gas water heater. They were the only ones willing. They were very on-point. They called and said they were going to be late, but they ended up not being late so it was perfect. Their punctuality was good.

Shady... Mr Abreu's initial phone estimate was based on erroneous estimate that some of his employees came in and eyeballed. I suggested running tape measure to get more realistic estimate but no luck. So they ball-parked $1000 based on exagerated pipe distance estimate but i figured it would be fixed when they came in an measured actually pipe length. Aside from poor work quality (I had to measure and suggest the correct place on back wall to bring pipe into his kitchen after their first eyeballed attempted ended up in an incorrect hole in my kitchen wall) he sent three guys to to the work where to would have sufficed for the 3 hour job. One guy spent a good deal of time playing a football video game on his smart phone sitting on my back steps while the other two did the work. Two of the three employees were very nice. As for the exaggerated pipe /supply cost estimate...when my contractor and inspector came in and I showed them the bill they confirmed that even though I was billed $258 for '12 units" of galvanized pipe, that was inaccurate and not used. Instead what was correctly (per my request) used was 10 unites of track pipe. So I basically ended up paying for materials that weren't used. Learned my lesson did my homework too late but this guys doesn't even have a license for this business. The county inspector would love to know it if he does. :-) I strongly recommend DO NOT USE this service. Unfortunately, it is one of these mom and pop, [Redacted] off the book business. How they had an "A" on Angie's is beyond me. At the end of the day, this is was a [Redacted] service experience charging first world pricing.

This appears to be a father-son operation, and I had dealings with both the father and the son.  The father (Carlos, Sr.) came to repair our inoperable, outdoor, tankless water heater.  I had a great experience with this company, and I wholeheartedly endorse them for repairs and installations.   I wish that I had called them first.  I made the mistake of calling a plumber at first, and that was a complete waste of $100.  The plumber came, unplugged the tankless water heater, took off the cover, and then asked "me" if I knew where the reset button was?  Honestly.   At that point, I politely told the plumber to leave.  
I can't say enough good things about this business.  The son ("Carlos, Jr.") took my call immediately and spent time describing their service, various prices, and my options.  I had the option of either replacing my 7 year old water heater or taking a chance to see if it could be cleaned and repaired with no guarantee that it could be fixed.  The cost of a new unit would be $1,000 plus about $350 for installation.  The cost of a repair would be a minimum of $130 for diagnostic labor and probably $180 for decalcification.  I had no idea that tankless water heaters should be decalcified every one to three years.   
I rolled the dice and opted for a diagnosis and possible repair.   Carlos, Sr. was prompt, courteous, and professional.  After cleaning the unit, he determined that the igniter was broken and needed a new part.  The part was shipped overnight and arrived on Saturday morning. To his credit, Carlos Sr. came out to our house on a Saturday morning to complete the repair.  Ahhh.  Hot water.  No more cold showers.  
My only suggestion to Carlos is that they consider maintaining an inventory of parts without having to order directly from the factory, but I understand if these are complex pieces of machinery and may be cost prohibitive.   The broken part for my heater was $45 and the shipping charge (overnight with Saturday delivery) was $74.  
All in all, I strongly recommend this company, and I hope that Carlos, Sr. continues to make repairs for many years to come.  I will definitely plan on calling this company again with any future problems or new installation of a tankless water heater.

Excellent Service Would highly recommend!!!

It went very well. Water heaters are once again functioning properly. Mr. Abreu showed up at 9:30 AM as scheduled and was completed by 11 AM that morning. This company provides an excellent service level.

Professional, on time, completed work, followed up, was responsive and came out right away.

Excellent. The servicing helped reduce monthly bills. Both Father and son are very professional and punctual individuals. I'm very happy with them and will continue to use them in the future.

They were great!  I called and they came the next day to install the new gas stove that was sitting in the middle of my kitchen because Home Depot couldn't install it, after telling me they could.  The guy who came was super nice and got the job done in no time.  I was able to use my new oven for Christmas dinner!

Carlos is a terrific guy; very personable and extremely hard working.  He returns phone calls and texts immediately, he gives good advice, he has fair pricing and he's honest about what you need and what you should not spend money on.  The guys who work for him are as polite and respectful as he is.  We had a major problem with Teco Gas' delay in getting us a meter; he even contacted them repeatedly on our behalf.  He truly went above and beyond.
I would not hesitate to refer him to everyone I know, and I will definitely call him if I need his services in the future.

An overall positive experience from beginning to end.

He responded quickly (late on a Friday, no less) and did a very good job, including some work to make space for the new set up while preserving the line so that we could go back to gas at a later date if we want to. Also, we were having trouble with the gas/propane service that filled the tank.  I asked Carlos about which providers in our area are trustworthy and reliable.  He made a recommendation and introduction that we follow up on, and we have been very happy with new service provider.  I would call Carlos again and would recommend him to others as well.

We have used Carlos Abreu and his company before -- when we had trouble with our propane supplier and several gas appliances.  He is responsive, knowledgeable, professional, and honest.  He comes right away, assesses the problem, formulates an effective solution, manages the work efficiently and successfully.  Everything he says he will do, he does.  If he cannot manage to correct an issue, he offers names of reliable individuals we can contact.

Carlos was great!  He was on time, really nice and professional.  He even went over the instructions for my new stove with me.  These are my go to guys from now on for my gas appliance needs!
