I was happy with the quality of the work, the owner was mostly responsive and timely. The workers were polite and cleaned up fairly well. Everything went well until I learned that he had not paid some of his subcontractors. I had already had final inspection and paid in full when I received a "Notice to Owner" followed by a Lien recorded against my home. When I contacted the owner, he informed me that he could not pay it and he apologized. Given it was my house and my credit, I paid the subcontractor in order to get the Release of Lien and now I must go after L & L Pools to get my money back. I suggest for anyone doing major renovations that you ask for a Affidavit listing all of the subcontractors and the you get Release of Liens and proof of payment before you pay your contractor.
Description of Work: I have an old pool first built in the 40's. The drainage system and plumbing did not meet current safety standards. I had all of the plumbing re-done and cosmetic work done as well. It was a total pool renovation.
