If you have an acute situation, recommend Dr. Wise.  He is obviously knowledgeable, sensible, and has a good sense of proportion and humor.
Dr. Weiss does much of the surgery and oversees the clinic, but he is very hands on and professional.  The techs aiding, Vlada and Carlos, were very professional and efficient.  The clinic is open 24/7 so there is always someone on staff.  
The dog with the sore paw was diagnosed and wrapped to avoid further licking.  Two days later, the wrap is off and the licking has subsided.  Meds included daily analgesic, antibiotics, anti-fungal, and an NSAID
The dog with the elbow abscess had a drain inserted under local anesthetic and the leg wrapped.  The leg was examined today and looks very clean and without swelling.  The drain will remain for another 48 hours and was rewrapped to avoid swelling and licking by the dog.  This dog also had similar meds, save the the anti-fungal.
Both dogs have yeast infections in their ears.  Dr. Wise demonstrated simply how much more cleaner / alcohol  (after swimming) is needed plus additional pressure applied to properly irrigate a dog's ear canal.

Dr. Canabal has been very attentive, concerned, and apparently did a very good job.  The surgery is costing several $100 less than they had estimated, so that was good.  Their employees that handle the front desk and the checkout desk, they are all well educated, very professional, very helpful, friendly, and patient.  A few doctors that I’ve had any contact with have been excellent.  There is just nothing I can say bad about them.  The only problem is they are just overcrowded sometimes because so many people come in with emergencies.

The doctors are very good and excellent. They care about the animals. They examine them thoroughly and I am comfortable taking my dogs there.

They are really good. The kitten turned out okay. He ran around, he climbed trees and he did everything a normal cat would ever do. I would give Dr. Wise and this particular Knowles Clinic straight A's.

After hearing about the unnecessary added charges, I declined to be ripped off and found another boarding kennel

This was the first time going to the Knowles Clinic. I arrived on time for the appointment with my cat. The welcome from the office staff was not very warm and inviting. I had to wait about 20-25 minutes while a couple of people who came in after me, went in ahead of me. I understand that many appointments are booked at a given time. However, if an appointment is late, I think that the appointment which was on time should be taken in first. The male vet tech who took me inside finally was all right, but was not very welcoming; no smile, how are you, this is your first time with us, etc. Just brought us into the exam room, did the basic medical things (weighting the cat, etc.) and then left. Waited about another 10 minutes for the dr. to come in. The exam room was very cold, clinical and uninviting. By the time the dr got there, I was pretty much ready to leave. The female dr. (Dr. Perida - not sure on the spelling) was very professional and excellent. Very caring, very concerned, explained the costs, options, etc. for the dental work. She was the best thing about going to Knowles. When checking out, the receptionist had me wait for about another 10 minutes while she chatted to a client, who seemed to go there a lot, about personal issues instead of checking me out promptly. Overall, the dr. was great, but due to the other issues with being made to wait, the coldness of the clinic atmosphere, the reception staff, I would not go there again. My regular vet's office and office/vet tech staff is much, much better for atmosphere, staff, welcoming attitude, and the dr. there is excellent also. The whole package is very important when I, myself, go to the dr. or when I take my pets. The rating of A for professionalism and quality is for the female dr. only, not the staff or office.

Knowles Animal Clinic is willing to go the extra mile for its customers. It is open 24 hours a day and even open on holidays. They are very caring and make sure my animals feel better when they leave. Dr. Garcia is absolutely wonderful.

KNOWLES ANIMAL CLINIC HAS A TREMENDOUS REPUTATION. THEY ARE CARING, GENTLE AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY EVEN CALLED DAILY TO CHECK ON THE RECOVERY OF THE DOG AND TO ANSWER ANY CONCERNED QUESTIONS. I HAVE NEVER HAD BETTER SERVICE!

WE HAVE USED THIS CLINIC FOR OVER FIFTEEN YEARS AND WE WOULDN'T THINK ABOUT GOING ANYWHERE ELSE. THE OFFICE STAFF IS YOUNG AND CAN SOMETIMES BE RUDE, BUT THEY ARE NOT TOO BAD. THEY GIVE VERY PERSONALIZED CARE.
