Description of Work: We heard of Jason/Joel (CONMAN) through co-workers who all spoke highly of this person. We were able to view their existing camera systems on their phones, and were impressed with the work. My co-workers also explained that they were able to view the cameras on their computers and on their TV's. Their play-back through the DVR that Jason/Joel includes in his "deal" provided that service. Anyone that knows the slightest bit about DVR's and being able to playback something, knows that in-order to record with your DVR and "play it back" for simple viewing you need a hard drive. Keep this in mind for later*** With the suggestions of my co-workers for Jason/Joels work, I gave him a call and set up a time for him to come out to our home. He arrived punctually and gave his suggestions on what we needed. He provided his bs business card and a bs contract for his services. We decided to add extra camers and were told that we would need a 16 camera DVR for the extra cameras. We went with it and had the cameras installed and the DVR placed in the area we decided on. There were a couple of constuction set backs that we had so we could not connect the DVR at that time, but agreed on a later date to complete the work, but we did have everything in place...we thought. Well the time came that we were ready for the work to be finished, so we gave Jason/Joel a call...AND his phone was disconnected. We did eventually contact him via email and were able to set up a day and time for him to come by. That day came and went and we had not heard back from him. We found someone else to come and finish the work and were surpised to be told that the work was sloppy and inadequately done. When the DVR was looked at, we were told that there was #1-NO POWER CORD, #2-CABLE/INTERNET SOURCE, AND THE BEST OF ALL...NO HARD DRIVE IN THE DVR...WHAT IS NEEDED TO RECORD FOOTAGE OF A POSSIBLE CRIME IN MY HOME AND REASON FOR THE SYSTEM. We were also told that the DVR was an 8 camera DVR and not the 16 camera DVR we paid for. We have attemped to still contact him via his phone with no success. At this point we will contact him legally with a Civil Lawsuit.

+ -1 moreThree months ago, we called Mr. Gutierrez and hired him. He gave us the name of Joel, not Jason when we used him. He works for another company and I guess is also doing work on the side. He came out in the uniform of his employer; thus, we thought we were working with that company. Apparently, he is not affiliated in that way and we were just working with him as a job on the side. He had access to all of our security cameras remotely. Our cameras are no longer working and we found out that he installed broken and used equipment. We immediately tried calling him, but have not been able to reach him. I would not recommend him to anyone. He seemed very professional and was always on time, but I feel very deceived by this.
Description of Work: I found Mr. Gutierrez on craigslist and decided to use him to install a surveillance system.
