Hurricane Shutter Service
I must admit I was surprised and delighted by Rick Decker's expert advise in phone conversations and emails regarding recommendations. Also Rick's web site has specifications and illustrations to guide any amateur (like me) to a successful installation of hurricane panels. Part of the wall that surrounds my glass sliders is composite. It consists of 3 layers - cement, flashing, and lastly plywood. Rick recommended rather than use cement anchors, use tapcons (Rick's website also has anchors, tapcons, and installation tools for sale. I bought these supplies from Rick also). I installed the hurricane shutter supports following Rick's directions and also using his web site specifications, and the job went very well. I was finished in 4 days. I congratulate him. Rick Decker is an expert in all aspects of hurricane panels and hurricane panel installation.
