Only for customers with masochistic tendencies ! Do NOT do any business with High Impact Windows & Doors, Inc!!!Peter Deverell, who appears to be the owner of this company, is a very likeable person, who very convincingly will say all the right things to get you to give him an order. He is not pushy in any way shape or form, giving you the confidence that you are dealing with a great, solid and nice company.I ordered 10 high impact replacement windows from him, Peter estimated 2 weeks production time and 2 days installation time. So far so good, but this is what really happened:Peter took a 50% deposit, after 2 weeks I called him and he told me that because of a computer mistake the order would be 1 week later. The windows arrive one week later on a Tuesday morning; Peter collects the remaining money. Installation day #1: Next day, a Wednesday not his crew of 5 arrived, but one single person who started to install 2 of the small windows. Ill prepared ( like no ladder!!) the installer struggles all day to install them, ruining the walls, breaking the old windows by letting them fall from the second floor and installing the larger window (48 x 48) out of level. The worker promises to be back next day:Installation day #2: Thursday: no worker, no call; Paul's answering service is full... When I finally get to talk to him he again tells me that he will be there with a huge crew, finishing the job ASAP!Installation day #3: Friday: worker arrives; leaves after 2 windows are installed.Installation day #4: Saturday: Paul and 2 workers arrive after 2pm, installing one sliding door.Installation day #6: Monday: no worker, no callInstallation day #7: Tuesday: second sliding door is installedInstallation day #8: Wednesday: 2 smaller windows are being installedInstallation day #9: Thursday: no worker, no call, when I call I get the promise by Peter that the job will be finished Saturday.Installation day #11: Saturday: no worker, no call, when I call I get to hear that no one is working today, they are with their families at the beach.Installation day #12 Monday: no worker, no callInstallation day #13: Tuesday: 5 people show up at 2 pm, struggling to install the last 2 windows. They leave after dark, with dust, dirt, screws stones, silicone stains all over the floors. One window is only held by 4 screws, the wind is blowing through the big gaps of the window that appears to be too small for the opening. NOTHING is cleaned up. One palm tree is destroyed.Installation day #14: Wednesday: Paul actually calls in the morning, just to let me know that no one will come before the afternoon. But he is lying again, nobody is coming.Installation day #15: Thursday Worker shows up at 9. He secures the last window, creating more dust. He explains that he will also caulk in the two windows that are too small and after that leave. Someone will come tomorrow to finish the inside... After long discussion Peter brings some other helper and the two workers kind of finish the inside...Installation day #16: Friday no worker, no callInstallation day #17: Saturday no call, when I call Peter says that the weather is too bad to finish the job....there is no rain until late afternoon. He promises to finish the job Wednesday.Installation day #18 or 19: workers climb over the 6' fence to work on the plaster while I'm away...Installation day #20: Peter calls before 10 am to let me know that he is trying to find someone to work today...I called them again at 2, talked to Paul who promised to call back in a few minutes...Never didInstallation day #21: No Call, no worker. I call Peter at noon, he is surprised that I would expect anybody to show up today....He promises to call back with info on if he can send some workers for finishing the job, removing all dirt, removing the equipment etc...
