Hidalgo Upholstery, which we would highly recommend to others for their
professionalism and final product, upholstered two large sofas, one of
which is a sofabed. We purchased our designer fabric at Calico Corners
and Hidalgo used it all, matching up the designs on every surface. They
picked up and delivered the sofas at no cost, and also covered four throw
pillows in another contrasting fabric. Everything looks absolutely beautiful.
Looks like we have new sofas. Hidalgo is our forever upholsterer. Also
very convenient to our Coral Gables neighborhood. We worked with Carlos,
who was extremely helpful, cooperative and professional. We did a lot of
research and visited 3-4 other upholsterers at their sites. Even though
Hidalgo was a touch more than other local upholsterers, we found that
it was so worth it. They do not just slap on your new fabric over the old
fabric. They take all the old fabric up, rejuvenate or replace tired stuffing,
and make every effort to make the furniture look brand-new.

Great job. On time and on budget. These folks are tops. We've used them for years for many projects and always with great results. They are reals professionals and most pleasant as well.

Marco upholstered and repaired 8 dining chairs that were covered in leather. They were very old chairs, 3 had broken backs. He did a great job, rescued good antiques.
I also had an arm-club chair upholstered in an ikat fabric with a pattern, the pattern matches on the cushions in the front and also the sides of the chair. Its as if it was a continuous piece of fabric which is very difficult to do, more time consuming and not many upholsterers bother with this type of detail.
I saw two bergand eacute;res he had done in his shop with an incredible little nail head detail, when I saw that quality of work I knew I would use him.
I have an Interior Design degree and look for small details that make a job better than others, Hidalgo is that kind of shop.

The owner was very pleasant and professional. He picked up the furniture and returned it on time. He followed my requests to the letter and did an impeccable job of placing the fabric on chairs that have very challenging shapes.
