late last year purchased a home in kendall  , for most when we mentioned kendall it was too far or more expensive as they had to send installers out too far 
some companies just offered products and no install , we have delt with this in the past and it was a nightmare , our last option was home depot , and that is actually where they directed us to fx home improvements . we that same day stopped by there office showroom and  have to say was not that impressed with showroom , yet there warehouse and certificates where very impressive , we let mr capo the saleman  which they call projectmanager show us different styles and products we spend a good 2 hours with him , prior to leaving and with more info than my mind can handle at the moment they made an appointment to come out to our home for measurements and free estimate , i believe it was three days later mr capo came out he  measured and asked questions and more questions. that same evening we received and email with a detailed estimate line by line , and the price was i would say within our budget , that next weekend we went out to showroom again and we finalized all of our selections , and were surprise that we had actually saved more money by some of the new selections we made . long story short they started about a week later i remember going into the house and it looked as if a tornado had hit the house (demo) as they caslled it . they covered our wooden floor stair case . as the days progressed every time i would visit the house i was amazed at the transformation of my bathrooms  . they were done with all my marble , granite , furniture , plumbing , and glass doors and more . again long story short a great experience have recommended family and friends and some are getting work done by them now and are also very happy . by the way we did 6 bathrooms and hardwood floors in our family room

Got a couple of estimates for a small kitchen rennovation.  Jay was not the cheapest but was not far off.  I visited his facebook page, company page and his showroom and was impressed.  Decided to book the job with him. 
Experienced a few hiccups:
-Measurements were short initially which meant we needed more cabinets but Jay covered it at no extra charge.  This caused the job to be delayed another couple weeks while we waited for them to arrive and finish the install
-Additional charges were added but Jay was not the one who prepared the original estimate and was not aware that they were quoted as part of the job.   He removed them without hesitation.
Overall am very satisfied with the quality of work and Jay's responsiveness to minor issues.  He is a man of his word which is hard to find in this industry. Thank you Jay!

I was thinking about refacing my cabinets.  I went to get an estimate from a big company and they wanted $17,000 just for the refacing.  My neighbor told me about a company they had used and had been very happy with.  I called them, made an appointment for them to come out.  (Estimate was free). I talking with them, they told me they would be able to not  only reface the cabinets but for that amount I could get a whole new kitchen including all labor. Within a day of the appointment, I got a written estimate including a full drawing of what the kitchen would look like completed.  I was surprised to see that it was less than the $17,000 quote I had previously gotten.  I went in on a Saturday to the showroom to actually look at the product that was being installed in the kitchen and to pick my counter top color.  They had this computer program that allowed me to plug in my colors, cabinet doors, counter tops, floor selection and see exactly how the finished product would look.  After this was made, I sat with them in the office, verified licenses/insurance.  Since everything was good, I gave them my deposit and was told kitchen would be in within 10 days.  To my surprise, it actually came in sooner. Two weeks after that, my kitchen was completed!  I was very happy and satisfied with the final outcome.  This company was very professional and responsible.  I would definitely recommend them to my friends.
