ceramic tile
 + -1 moreThis contractor did come quickly when I called, surveyed the job, knowing I was planning on gabardine tiling and told me the old tile did not need to be removed, the next thing I knew, there was a mess everywhere because of the tiles being removed. He charged me $2.50 per square foot of tile removal. I have since found the going rate is $1 per square foot. It was about 150 square feet so the extra charge for that alone was $450. He hard pressured me to purchase the new tile from his dealer when I had already found what I wanted, at an excellent price, on my own. I ended up paying him the inflated price for the tile removal and hiring another contractor to complete the remaining work.
Description of Work: They were to have done the remodeling of my 12x5 foot bathroom. They ended up only removing the old tile. I had to let them go and hire someone else.
