Ergeon is a NIGHTMARE! My journey with them started when I signed my initial contract on May 13 and my fence was finished about one week ago. There have been issues every step of the process with them. I was charged $100 for them to "draw" up a site plan that was needed to obtain a permit, one they insisted I get as the customer. I was randomly switched to another point person without notice or introduction. The site plans were wrong 4 TIMES, pointed out by me (not a contractor) before they got it right (or so I thought). I submitted the site plan to the city and was immediately flagged and denied a permit bc Ergeon placed the fence on a utility line, something a contractor should know not to do and now would further delay the start time. Once that was fixed and the permit was finally approved, Ergeon scheduled a pre-installation visit at my request which was completely useless. The gentlemen arrived an hour before the scheduled time on a Saturday unprepared and unknowledgeable about the project, not to mention he didn't speak English. When I complained to Ergeon they said the only subcontractors they had in the area only spoke Spanish. Read that again, "SUBCONTRACTORS," yes - Ergeon does NONE of the work. How would you not communicate with a client that there would be a language barrier during the project. The person that came out knew nothing, didn't understand, and barely spoke. I did not feel very confident. I advised Ergeon of my concerns and they asked me to give them another chance and they would do better. Fast forward to installation day, they assured my that my Project Manager, Rey would be "virtually" on-site to meet the subcontractor and make sure everything runs smoothly. Again to my surprise, the subcontractor arrived unprepared without the site plans and the project manager was nowhere to be found. I began communicating wit subcontractor directly as Ergeon was completely pointless. The installation took about 3-days and I was not happy with the end result. Some of the slats are slanted and have gaps between them, completely defeating the purposes of a privacy fence. The fence gates don't feel very secure and could easily fly off with a heavy gust of wind. After complaining to my project manager and advising them I would be reporting my entire experience to the BBB, I was quickly bribed with a $300 discount, a gift basket, and an Amazon gift card. Does this not scream "we did wrong" to you? The last straw I'm dealing with is a shady one. They refuse to send me an itemized invoice of what I'm being charged for before I pay. They charge you per "concrete bag, rail, slat, and post used" but they only give you a very generic invoice, not an itemized one with the amount of units being charged. I asked for the itemized invoice Friday, 7/5 so that I can confirm that what I'm being billed is what was in fact installed, I asked on Tue, 7/9, and again on Thr, 7/11 and every time it was an excuse as to why they haven't been able to get it to me. They brush off my concerns and try to deflect to something else every time. Finally on Friday, 7/12 when I still hadn't received the itemized invoice, I kindly requested a manager, no one responded to my request nor has anyone gotten in contact with me since that day. This company is an absolute SHAM.
