Kevin ran the project like a fined tooth comb! Professional, trustworthy, courteous, friendly and always thinking ahead, helping me every step of the way to achieve what I wanted. Always answered my calls and texts immediately and above everything else he was very honest. If something fell behind he was always truthful and explained everything to me so I could understand what was going on. Kevin has long standing relationships with his sub contractors who are professional and trustworthy and their work is impeccable. Having great relationships with these men makes for a pleasant experience since everyone is on board and the renovation process runs smoothly. Kevin strives for perfection and will accept nothing less. His goal is to make sure you get what you wanted and are happy with everything. Dowd Builders takes pride in their work and it definitely shows in the end result. Would highly recommend this company.

Complete gutting of one of our bathrooms and remove tub and replace with shower stall. Kevin was excellent to deal with and his subs were all excellent. He worked with my wife and I all throughout the process of design including trips to pick out tile and granite on separate occasions. Kevin made sure all the subs stayed on track through completion of the project and the pricing he quoted us was on target. Great experience!

After assessing the nature of the work, Kevin Dowd, the owner of Dowd Builders, discussed options for the remodeling, including the construction of an esthetic and quot;pony walland quot; to blend the end of the vanity counter into the shower stall, which other contractors did not consider during their consultations. Mr. Dowd provided an accurate estimate of the work to be performed, and a realistic allowance for the subcontractors' work. Additionally, Mr. Dowd indicated that if we were to arrange for buying the materials (tile, plumbing hardware, etc.), we would not be assessed the standard contractor's fee, which we readily decided to do.
Kevin and Christopher Dowd personally performed among other jobs, the demolition work, the replacement of some damaged wood framing, and the drywall installation. Mr. Dowd's selection of contractors to complete the tile, electrical and plumbing, were first rate. Our dealings with all of those who performed work on the project were always positive. We generally do not trust people in our home while we're away. However in this case, we were justifiably confident in the integrity of all of the workers, to the point that we left the tile setter and Mr. Dowd with access to the house for several hours when we had other commitments.
Mr. Dowd, as well as the subcontractors, made every effort to clean the work areas at he end of each day. They likewise made every effort to minimize disruptions during the course of the project. All involved were professional, thorough, and responsive at every step along the way.
We have recommended Dowd Builders to several of our friends and neighbors. This was an outstanding contractor experience. We would not hesitate to use Kevin Dowd, or any of the involved subcontractors again.

We contacted 3 General contractors and Dowd Builders immediately responded to our calls. Kevin listened to what we wanted to accomplish and took us to two houses where he had completed multiple bathrooms and we discussed design/concepts. Every step of the way Kevin assisted us in a very complex process to end up with the final results we accomplished. The subs that Kevin brought in for cabinets, plumbing, electrical were outstanding. On time, trustworthy and meticulous are the best words to describe the entire team. We could not be more pleased with our results and are already discussing additional projects.
