DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY BY ANY MEANS. We got scammed by Blackjack garage doors in a fence project, the owner Ernesto took off with a deposit of $6900 that we give him to start the job. STAY AWAY FROM HIRING THIS COMPANY!!! We hired him because of competitive prices and more importantly because he was supposed to finish the job within a short period of time. After several weeks of calling him to find out why he hasn't started yet, he promises to be there next morning and never showed up, no even call to let us know that he would not come, finally one day he showed up and completed no more than 5% of the whole project, leavings materials and concrete bags to deteriorate outside. Never again he answer our calls. since we had a deadline for inspection with the insurance company, now everything went south and now we are facing fines and the risk of not been able to insure our home. Fortunately he signed a contract and proof of insurance liability through his company. Case is been built by lawyers as we speak!! I will keep posting any changes to help other people how to fight cases like this and to encourage them to always make a contract, and more importantly never pay with cash or check, unfortunately i broke one of my most important rules. "do not ever pay with cash or checks" use credit or debit cards, at least you can get your money back.

I hired this company a few years ago to replace my garage door. At that time, they did a good job at a fair price. At that time, the owner also mentioned he installed fences, so when it came time to replace my fence, I called him. I also had three other quotes to compare against. Blackjack was not the cheapest, but they were within a reasonable range. Due to an upcoming insurance inspection, I was on a time crunch so I was more concerned about speed of delivery and quality of product so I gave him the job based on his previous performance with the garage and his picture portfolio of previous fence jobs. I hired him to do what was suppose to be a two day fence job which he masterfully turned into 3 weeks. He successfully utilized my property during that time frame to store some of his equipment, more specifically, a trailer and a custom built augur on wheels contraption. Over the course of three weeks, I observed very interesting patterns on how they worked during that timeframe. Every time they showed up, they would arrive in the afternoon and spend, on average, 2 to 3 hours on site. They would not show up everyday either and then finally they ‘finished’ the job last week - very frustrating to say the least. Furthermore, they did not do a quality job either. Hick I had to wait 15 days more than promised and then deal with quality issues. The back gates are not level. Hence, they are drooping downwards and the horizontals on the gate are not aligned with the fence. Looks crappy! The day after they ‘finished’ the job, I asked him to address this. It was hard to see this at night with little to no lighting which is when they ‘finished’ the job - at night instead of working normal hours. So far he has not shown up to fix the issue. He was slow to answer my calls and recently he is not answering my texts or calls anymore. It appears he does not intend to honor his workmanship. He absolutely failed me and used my property as a storage yard. Also, the few times he did respond to me, he has been extremely rude and very disrespectful. The owner has zero customer service skills and has definitely demonstrated that he does not care. His temperament flirts with savagery. He apparently cares about collecting your money and then running for the hills. He lacks integrity and ethics which apparently he failed to embrace while in the military. Bottom line, I gave him the job because i thought he would do it fast and do a great job, but the exact opposite happened. I was very patient with this man. I could have been a hard *** for taking a lot longer than agreed and for using my property as a storage yard while he was probably working other jobs instead of keeping the time commitments he agreed to. So in the end I got screwed for a being a nice guy but I intend to hold him accountable. Buyer Beware!

We have two high end residential/commercial grade garage doors, openers and control panels which Blackjack Garage Doors installed less than 4 years ago. When one of our garage doors opened in the middle of the night, Blackjack told us we had to replace the control panel. After multiple texts and phone calls Ernesto showed up close to 8pm and said it wasn't the control panel that was bad but the motor. He ended up changing the motor the following week after missing several confirmed appointments. Two weeks later the control panel started beeping and again he changed it after several annoyed texts from me. The second control panel failed two weeks later, so I called another garage door company after no response from Blackjack. The other company suggested we contact Liftmaster as the unit was probably still under warranty, which it was. We paid over $500 to Blackjack for two units that were still covered under warranty! His customer service is atrocious and we feel swindled. Would not recommend them to anyone.

I wish I can give this company NEGATIVE infinity stars !!!!!!!!!!! Giving them one star is generous. That's how unhappy with their workmanship and worst of all, their customer service. The garage door started making ungodly, high pitching noise about 1 month into installing a brand new garage door. Called the company to complain about the problem. They did not show up for their SCHEDULE visit at least 6 times (maybe more, but who's counting). Every time I called back to find out why they didn't show up, it's always that their previous job got delayed. One time they did showed up, all they did was sprayed some WD-40 and that was it. I never bothered them again because I'm done with this aggravation. I own a home and we've had people come through for various jobs, so I know sometimes things get delayed. But their customer service is out of this world. I don't understand how they stay in business. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE stay away from them. There are soooo many other companies you can use.
