BEYOND KITCHENS & BATHS INC

Beware of this company,owned by Juan and Maria Ruiz!  They did a lot of work for me, I thought most of the work was done correctly, but then saw problems after the fact, and they never followed up to complete the job (apparently they were not a licensed contractor which I did not know at the time - I had never hired a contractor before, and was naïve).  When I contacted them (Juan) about the remaining work, and spoke to Juan on the telephone (on more than one occasion), he said "yes, he would check into it and call back," which he never did - they still have possession of a kitchen sink and faucet (approx. $500, not "chump change" for me) which I paid for, and they did not return the access card for the gated community (Juan also told me more than one time that he would drop off the sink/faucet/gate card at my property, and did not).  There is also some residual damage to my property caused by their workers (Juan's comment was that he could not speak to the worker because he was killed in a motorcycle accident, which is sad of course, but does not relieve his responsibility as a "contractor"), a wall that was not cut correctly for a bathroom cabinet (the cabinet is bent and the door does not close), and now have been informed by someone who is doing work for me that there is a problem with the electrical wiring done in the kitchen area (scary!).  Juan had told me that he always stands behind his work, and that "you can call me in ten years if there is ever a problem," and now he does not answer the telephone or return calls.















Apparently now they are working in Broward County, Florida.
