I purchased a brand new roof from AKG Roofing and Specialty Services, INC and AKG Inspection Services, Inc. in 2016, which came with a 10-year warranty. Unfortunately, it has been a nightmare dealing with them ever since. The roof has always had a leak that I've complained about numerous times. Getting them to come and fix their work is extremely difficult and inconsiderate. I have had to take time off work multiple times to meet the roofers, only for them not to show up. They scheduled a repair for Monday at 8:15 am, but no one showed. When I called to complain, they said they meant Wednesday. I took more time off work, but they still didn't show. Now, my ceiling is leaking badly in my room, and they are refusing to pay for the interior damages. Had they come and fixed the roof properly the first time, I wouldn't be out of pocket. I do not recommend this company. If you do have them come out for repairs, I strongly advise you to go on the roof yourself to inspect their work. On one occasion, they didn't seal the area properly. If you can't inspect the roof yourself, hire a third-party inspector to do it. Their repair work is very poor, and I still have a leak. I feel they are just trying to dodge my complaint until my warranty expires. That is why I am leaving this review—to prevent others from experiencing the same issues. Look for another company. Outstanding work!  They were very neat and completed the job within a few days, as promised.  The owner was very professional and helpful in our decision making process.  We highly recommend this company.

Citizen's Insurance demanded a new roof or loss of insurance, despite having 3 companies provide me with written 10 year roof guarantees. I got 4 quotes from reputable companies, incuding AKG.  AKG also came with personal recommendations from family/friends. Joe and his office/team are fantastic.  First, he preformed a very detailed quote that listed all available options (more or less insulation, change of pitch, etc.) and walked us through everything so we knew what we were getting.  No surprises.  His office stayed in touch throughout the process, for permitting, scheduling, installation, inspection and completion, even checking to make sure Citizen's had no issues or questions on my wind-mitigation/roofing inspection report so that I would get the max credit/discount possible. We never felt forgotten.  Prior to beginning the work the foreman (whose name I forget, but he was great!) came out to walk the job and take measurements for material.  He came back a week before the start again to double check, he came by when the material was delivered to check again.  There were no surprises and no hick-ups.  He and his crew were professional, fast and CLEAN. The man even insisted on removing his shoes before walking through my house! My yard was picked up every evening and they made a very thorough job of picking up after the job was complete.  Joe called personaly to make sure I was happy. The work was on budget and on-time.

They were always on time and kept me in the loop with regard to the whole project. They were fair with their prices and were also very professional.
