I had called them and they sent their technician out for a $70 fee. Then they charged $1200 to fix the compressor. They came back around 6 pm to change out the compressors. That didn't end up working and it made a lot of noise. We were told to make the check out to an individual name. The following morning when we tried to call them to let them know it wasn't working no one answered and no response. We sent text messages and again no response. We finally did get a response and were told that they would call back but they never did. I tried to call again and got a woman on the phone. I let the women know that I was actually as licensed contract and I knew how things were supposed to work. The woman told me she didn't "care if I was Obama, and she couldn't get a hold of the employee and short of sending smoke signals she had no other way to reach him!" Thankfully I was able to cancel the check and I even tried to give them an opportunity to try to fix it. During this conversation, the women went off on me and was yelling.

Apparently it appears that their employee didn't report to them that they were fixing our air conditioner in our unit and took the money. So instead of Aircool Mechanical System Inc trying to make things right, they are making this our problem. So we have dealt with this all day and not had any air in the heat here in Miami.

We've been using their services for 6 years.

They are a little bit more expensive than some of the competition, however they do excellent quality work. I had a problem with the air cleaning system and I called them up about it. They sent someone out the same day to repair it. I most recently had an emergency and I called them about it on a Friday night. They had someone out to my home to repair it by eight fifteen am the following Saturday morning. I have always received impeccable service from them.

This was a fiasco from the beginning. The installation was supposed to be a 5-6 hour deal, which was important to us because we were leaving for a vacation 2 days later and wanted to make sure it was done before we left. In their defense I have to say that this was a tougher installation than normal because the air handler is in the attic. But we paid an extra $300 because of that, and they indicated that it would not be a problem. Well, first they were almost an hour late on that Friday, and they did not have the replacement unit with them, as it was on the way from the distributor. So they proceeded to take the old handler out. When the new unit arrived, it was the wrong item and had to be returned. I don't know if they ordered the wrong item or if the supplier got it wrong. When the correct unit arrived they proceeded to put it in the attic and discovered that the existing drain pan was too small, so they had to order a replacement. More delay. At about 5:30 PM they informed us that the plenum, the part that ties the duct work into the unit, was too deteriorated to use and had to be rebuilt. They knew this 3 hours earlier, but didn't tell us because they were trying to make the old one work even though it was falling apart in their hands. They said it would cost an extra $600, and they would have to come back the next day because they needed the material. We didn't mind the extra cost because we don't want to have problems down the road, but we did mind them waiting so long to tell us because now we had no A/C and it was a long hot August night in Miami. The next day, they were 1-1/2 hours late, due to a flat tire. (I'm not sure I believe that) Two guys showed up, but one had to leave early. After rebuilding the plenum, the one remaining guy was having problems getting the unit to work and was on the phone with the office off and on trying to get it working. At about 9:30 PM he informed us that the circuit board was defective, but he couldn't get it until Monday. Another hot night in Miami. Also, this was a problem because we were flying out the next morning for a week. We had 3 cats in the house who were to be fed by a friend while away, but living in Miami, we couldn't really leave the windows open because of security. Long story short-we made arrangements for a neighbor to let them in on Monday to finish the job, but it was a real hassle. When we returned, we found that the unit worked great, except the living room duct was not connected. So they had to return because of inadequate inspection after it was working. Finally, they left the old junk in the front yard until Monday after numerous requests to remove it promptly. Anyways, some of the problems were not their fault, but most of it was caused by poor planning and poor communication with the customer, even though either my wife or I were there the whole time during the first 2 days. I don't think I'll call them back for any work.

Immediately responsive on telephone when I called for the original problem (water leaks were damaging ceiling in multiple areas). VERY knowledgeable about problem (I had had another A/C company visit to assess problem and they were clueless). Good English skills. Reported to work on time, extremely clean, polite and efficient. This was potentially a very messy job, having to de-install duct work in attic and remove thru house. Installed ducting from air handlers in house to attic and all individual ducts. No mess. No collateral damage. Good quality work, done in estimated time frame (actually completed ahead of schedule to accommodate my needs).

Ok except the price was over the top, in fact I think outrageous!

We could smell and feel moisture coming out of our air ducts and they came and diagnosed the problem. The existing, 35 year old ducts were leaking all over and causing water to collect in my attic. They also showed me how one air handler was about to crumble from rust and confirmed that we needed a new condensing unit. They worked for 4 days, replaced all ducts, replaced the air handler and condenser and we were never without air conditioning at night. The workers were very friendly and very dedicated to doing a good job, quickly and made sure that we would stay as comfortable as possible during the times we didn't have cooling in the house. We also signed a three year service contract, and they came back a few days later to calibrate and adjust the system, free of charge.

Air Cool Mechanical System Inc does a fine job of maintaining the air conditioner in our home. They come when they say they will and get right to work. There are no complaints from me with this company. They also respond quickly when we need repair service.

The first time Air Cool came in, they charged $50 to diagnose. They then returned and did the actual job which was to clean the coils. They gave us a 30 day warranty but when they came another time two days later, they wanted to charge us. I showed them the warranty so there was no charge. I'm just wondering if someone else was here, they would probably have charged them. In the end though their work was good enough that we actually signed a maintenance contract with them.

The representative arrived within the one-hour window we scheduled and performed a routine inspection of both A/C units, our ducts, air-returns, and thermostats. We knew one of our thermostats was in need of replacement and he replaced and installed a new, digital unit for $195. He also informed us that one of our A/C units needs to be replaced ASAP (a fact we knew about, but were hoping a hurricane might take care of it for us before it died -- it's the original unit from our 1971 house). He gave us a fair quote and told us to get other competing bids -- he was comfortable in his bid and there was no pressure to have us agree to the work on the spot. I'll re-post if we use them to replace the unit and clean our ducts at the same time.

I called their number at 10:30 PM and someone answered and gave me a time for 12 noon the following day. The person was on time, actually 5 mins before time and finished the job within 3 hours. They were very professional and gave us our options before we decided to go for a new AC. I would definately use them again and recommend them to others. The price for the new AC I thought was a little bit more than the market price.

THEY CAME IN AND CLEANED MY AIR DUCTS AS THEY ARE UNDER CONTRACT. THEY WERE ABLE TO CLEAN THE DUCTS QUICKLY, AND I NOTICED A CHANGE ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. THIS COMPANY DOES VERY GOOD WORK.

I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY DO VERY GOOD WORK AND THE PRICE IS VERY REASONABLE. I WILL CONTINUE USING THEM. I HAVE A YEARLY SERVICE CONTRACT WITH THEM.
