AIR WIZARD INC

We are so lucky we found Air Wizard, Inc., and Carlos and his wife/ assistant through Angie's List. When I called, Carlos explained the cost of the Sunday visit, and estimated they would be at our home in about 45 minutes. To our delight, they arrived early, about 15 minutes after we called. Both are extremely nice, friendly, and very knowledgeable professionals, and easy to talk to. Carlos examined the outside unit, and found a leak in the coil. He showed us how he found the leak, and then he drained the system of the gas, and then soldered it until it was fixed. He then replaced the gas, adding the amount that had leaked out. His wife was his very knowledgeable assistant, and very friendly to talk to. She also explained everything that she was doing, and made the visit very pleasant. I agree completely with all of the other fabulous reviews that Carlos and Air Wizard have received from other customers. They are terrific, and we would recommend them highly. They explained everything that they were doing, so that we were part of the process and followed every step. We are very thankful that we found them, and will definitely use Air Wizard again.

Carlos diagnosed the source of the leak immediately. He also noted that the HVAC unit was improperly installed. It took him 10 minutes to repair the improper installation. He explained the problem using clear language. There is still a possibility that the leak could return. But, he suggested that before we spend an additional $400, let's see if this correction fixes the issue. Most companies would just push the upsell. I like that he didn't try and upsell me on a possibly unnecessary repair.

Where to start? Well I guess with the fact that I never write reviews, but Carlos deserves one because he saved us on a sweltering Sunday (his God Given day off). We got a late day call from a tenant with two small children that the a/c was not working and the temperature was quickly rising. I jumped on Angie's list to look for a reliable repair person and much to my surprise Carlos first, answered his phone, second was super cordial, clear and and concise about what could be wrong with a one year old unit. He said he would head over to the unit within the hour, but within the hour he called that he had already checked the unit and done the repair of a minor issue with the capacitor on the outside unit. The tenants called overjoyed by the speed of the repair and Carlos' politeness. Win-win all around. I'm putting Carlos on my speed dial list! Thanks Carlos!

Carlos was fantastic, Called me within 20 minutes of getting on to Angies list at (9:00pm) last night. Said he would be here at 9:30 in the morning. He and hid lovely wife were here at exactly 9:30am. Problem fixed within 20 minutes and the price was extremely fair. I am in Real estate fro 26 years not only will I use him again but I will highly recommend him. I have already made a call to someone I know that is putting in an Hvac system to give them a quote. This is great service and I am glad I called Angies List. Thank you again

AGAIN!!!! Carlos is the best of the best!!!! We needed him for our second A/C. He came within 3 hours of our call. He gave education on what was wrong with our unit. He is totally "the bomb"! Okay, I do not want to lose him with all the good reviews, but I do want people to know how fabulous he is!!!

I called Air Wizard around 6:00 PM and Carlos (the owner) was at my house at 7:45 the next morning. He quickly determined that the AC's liquid dryer had a leak and that an electrical contact needed to be replaced. Also, since I had a leak, he had to add some refrigerant to the system. He explained what was wrong and why the parts needed to be replaced. He also performed a leak check on the AC's coils and inspected the AC unit inside the house. Once he finished inspecting the entire unit, he gave me an estimate for the parts needed. I gave the ok to proceed with the repairs. The weather was not the best, but he quickly performed the repairs and got my AC working in 2 hours. He also made a simple change to the AC's drainage system that will improve the water drainage and make changing the AC filter quicker and easier. I found Carlos to be very reliable and honest. I would not hesitate to call Air Wizard for repairs and service for my AC again. He and his wife were excellent!!!

This is the second time we have used this company and both times Carlos has been very responsive and on time. This past time it was a Saturday and over 90 degrees outside. Carlos came within a few hours and fixed our A/C.

Carlos is a GEM!!! He came when called. Explained the work he was doing. Offered instruction on how to prevent the same problem again. I would most certainly hire him again!

Great service. Carlos was well prepared, on-time, knowledgeable, gave us a warranty on parts and labor. He also showed us the defective compressor.

Carlos, who owns Air Wizard, is indeed a magician. He and his lovely wife/assistant arrived before the scheduled time--how rare is that these days, right?!! He got to work quickly, repairing the damage to the breaker box done by yesterday's crew and then determined the problem with the AC--a dead capacitor (or capacitator)--which Carlos replaced. My system works beautifully now. I'm sitting in a cool house as I type this on my phone. Air Wizard is the real deal. Carlos is skilled to a degree we don't see often, I think. He is honest, prompt, enormously skilled and fair in what he charges. I recommend Air Wizard with great enthusiasm. When I replace the old system I have now I will hire AIR WIZARD. This is a "wow!!" company.

Air Wizard / Carlos Diaz sold and installed a two head mini-split heat pump ductless system in my unconventional old (for Miami) house. The system that Carlos selected is perfect. His installation was impeccable. Carlos is a true skilled tradesman who takes pride in his work. Carlos is also a problem solver who thinks through the project to get the best possible result. The project went smoothly from estimate, permit application through construction and successful county inspection. As a bonus, Carlos is a super decent fellow to deal with. He answers all questions, is pleasant and professional. Also, Carlos does not use a salesman or subcontractors. When you hire Air Wizard, you get the real deal. He is the ideal HVAC contractor for the homeowner. It's a pleasure to recommend his services.

Mr. Wizard is truly a BLIZZARD WIZARD! Let me explain… I did a thorough investing on Angie’s List of the companies that install and repair home central AC units 24/7. Most companies only work during the week from 8-5 PM… On Thursday night my AC broke and on Friday morning I began my research. After narrowing down my choices to six companies and comparing them I chose Air Wizard, not because he is a big company, but because of his years of experience in the field, the listed qualifications on the site, along with the service schedule being 24/7. I called on Friday at 11AM and Carlos the Wizard said he would rearrange his schedule to accommodate me and came to my house on the same day at 3:30PM. Carlos arrived on time to my house and immediately set to the task of diagnosing the problem. He did a very careful and thorough job in which he found the part that broke. He was also prepared with the proper replacement part and installed it. He then tested all parts of the unit to make sure they were functioning efficiently. Since my unit was left on, it was overheating but Carlos took the time to cool it down so that it could start up. I found that he worked like a true technician with skillful hands and proper craftsmanship. Once the unit was cooled down, the unit turned on and thankfully it was running fine. Carlos stayed extra time to make sure the unit continued to function properly. I can truthfully say if you are looking for a technician who truly has experience, knowledge, craftsmanship, is true to their word and on top of it, well-mannered with a splice of humor added, contact Carlos Diaz!

Carlos is a true professional. I called him because my AC was leaking (due to poor maintenance on my part) - he came out the same day. He flushed out the clogged AC and then did an overall maintenance check (temperature and pressure) and inspected the outside unit. He was very thorough and explained all that he was doing as he went along. Unlike many folks in Miami, he did not try to rip me off by saying the coils needed to be cleaned or any other such nonsense. I highly recommend him!
