Our complaint is about this store's return policy. On December 15, we purchased some sample cabinet knobs to see if any worked in our kitchen. There is a three-day return policy to get cash/credit back. Within 30 days, you are issued a voucher toward a future purchase. Most stores give a little latitude with items purchased around the holiday, but this store did not.
We are now stuck with knobs we'll never use, and we'll never use Ace Hardware again. And the little guys wonder why the big box stores are eating their lunch. Customer service is the one area where the little guy could have a competitive advantage, and they fail miserably.
Home Depot will take anything back, any time without a receipt. Worst case scenario with Home Depot is that you get a gift card.
Shame on Ace Hardware. Good riddance.

The selection and prices are not as good as Home Depot, but the service and convenience more than makes up for it. The staff is very knowledgeable, and shopping is fast and easy.
