Furniture Refinishing
He took a little longer than planned. His father was unexpectedly murdered in Peru and he had to go back and handle family matters. But the work was very good. He replaced some damaged veneer on several cabinet frames, matching the color so precisely that you can't tell they were ever replaced. He fixed or replaced broken or inappropriately-sized hinges while he was at it..
It's difficult to find someone who will actually refinish cabinets rather than replace them. A shame, since refinishing is far less costly and disruptive, and older cabinets are almost uniformly of higher quality than those available today.
He also refinishes floors, which we will have him work on after the holiday season.
